Told you I only read one page, your response was on a different page which I didn't get to Back to Willian, if Spurs get him, then surely it means they're either selling Bale this window or they're doing the sensible thing and buying his replacements early and will release him next summer instead in the hope they'll secure champ league football (something which think they're get this year). Can't see them being able to afford him and spend £80mil in one summer?!
So they must have some idea of a fee for Bale and it's a matter of time before we see him signing for Madrid. Can't see where Spuds have suddenly got all this money from if not a Bale transfer.
What if Spurs have done a deal with Real where they sell him to Real next summer instead? They could spend the (owners) money now to guarantee they get CL football before selling him next year recouping the outlay. this fits within FFP, makes them more attractive for a direct replacement and gives them more money (CL) to spend next year too.
