... has been charged with improper conduct and bringing the game into disrepute. This arising out of Palace v Spurs' game at the weekend, which Spurs' won 1-0, courtesy of a hotly disputed,(by Holloway*),penalty. First game back in the P.L. and he's in the headlines again, this time for alleging "bias" by game officials, amongst other things. "Certain Clubs' get fouls",(and penalties*),"and others don't",he opined. Is he right,or just getting his excuses in early? The people who run football take a dim view of having their men accused of "bias",so I expect he will get well and truly shafted -for telling it as it is. * my parenthesis.
Could argue that the bigger clubs get the rub of the green from the officials, however, I find that decisions normally balance themselves out over the course of the season
Really? How many times did we get a decision last year? How many times would they blow up outside the box, but in the box wave the game on? If ML has a failing, it is not using the media to highlight this irregularity in the statistics....it doesnt have to be done in a way that warrants punishment from the FA.
Way to go Ian .... somebody has to give them all **** and take the grief for it .... a totally futile act and he's just the guy to do it.
Fcuk knows, I see other teams get them but not us. Are we now the longest team to go without a pen, I know Spurs were near to us, but they had a disputed one on Sunday.
A bit like blowjobs then ? (Am I allowed to say that ?) Am I right in thinking the last penalty we had in the league was the one Sinclair missed against Citeh in March of last year ?
It was in the league cup final you twonk, or were you that pissed by then you never saw it please log in to view this image
Well I sure as hell wouldn't want one of you! Never on the other hand will do anything to be Mod of the year next year
What can I say ? You know that award that Mabon is after, the silly sod of the Swansea board, well I reckon Valley is after it too Plus I wasn't that pissed at Wembley either, just ask Never he knows
I'd just like to point out a minor flaw in Holloway's thinking on this one. The last time he visited White Hart Lane he was the manager of Blackpool. They got two penalties in a minute and Charlie Adam escaped any punishment for this tackle, which put Bale out for three months: please log in to view this image Since then Spurs have had precisely 0 penalties at WHL. If he wants to make a case about bias, then that's fine. Really picked the wrong club to use as an example, though. I know you were equally as well treated last season, though. Both got none, which has happened to 3 other clubs in the history of the Premier League, IIRC.
That should have been at least a 6 match ban there for Adams. Could have snapped his ankle like a carrot.
I actually think the refs are better in the prem league than they were in the Championship, but look at the amount of penalites we had in that division ! I think our own players arnt quite streetwise enough in this part of the game but im kind of glad they arnt in a way. I quite like the fact we don't have any arch drama queens in our side or real dirty ****ers like Adam . We haven't been overly sharfted in this league so far but the west brom game was a defo balls up by the officials even to the point where Laudrup went crazy over it, that's just more to do with the ref being crap at his job im guessing. Man utd away last season was another one that stuck with me for bias, cant think of hardly any others though
