It has given me food for thought though.

I would be more than happy for him to be offered a pro contract by Rovers, I would shake his hand and congratulate him.

And then go live in shame in Papua new Guinea... <laugh>

I don't think either club will worry about lost revenue, as theres no way the first derby in 6 years won't be a sell out, despite it only being a JSP game. It's a brilliant thing that it's on the TV, as for the poor folk who are too old to get to games now like my grandad, and for the people like myself who are abroad regularly, its a chance for us to witness it live.

California is a magnificent place to live, but they don't have an Ashton Gate and Bristol City :(

Surely Horfield would be far enough away from most other Reds for you to hide your shame.

    This game wont sell out.!

There will be lots of interest but it wont sell out, (unless the tickets are really well priced.!) despite all the noises from the blue few I don't think they will even sell their allocation.

That would be doubling my shame.

I would have to start riding my bike on the pavement. and dressing like a scrapyard dealer whilst walking my dog on a lead made of string whilst carrying a can of white lightning in the other hand. my Mrs is not too keen on wearing floral leggings and not bothering to wash her hair (or clothes) ever again either. ;)

Well you could always move to the POSH bit down in Henleaze if it is still there that is.

It's probably a set fee going up per round. None of us would be arsed to watch the first round if it wasn't for who we are playing against. What attendance would we get if it was against say Wycombe? Not many I guess like the carling cup early rounds. Then it would be a greatly received fee.
Would you watch Northampton against Crawley?

JPT 1ST round, on sky. Hardly any local players, I don't know any rovers players the same as rovers don't know any city players, normally there's a gas player you despise, ian alexander in the 80's, steve Philips, lambert..

I agree that it wont be a sell out by a good distance.

If it was an FA Cup tie it certainly would be sold out, but with it being broadcast on Sky as well, and a midweek game I reckon 14,500 - 15,000 ish
