    QPR plot double Spurs raid
Published 23:04 04/06/11 By Steve Stammers

Premier League newcomers Queens Park Rangers are preparing a double swoop for Jermaine Jenas and Robbie Keane.

Rangers know they will need players of proven *experience on their return to the top flight – and the Tottenham duo fit the bill.

It appears that both men are superfluous to Spurs .

Jenas would cost around £7 million and that will boost Tottenham *manager Harry Redknapp’s transfer kitty as well as *easing the wage bill at White Hart Lane.

Keane is more likely to move on loan while *Rangers are close to *landing another key recruit for next season.

They are set to sign Ashley Williams from Swansea City in a £1m move. Williams, 26, has been a vital part of Swansea’s progress over the past four seasons.

I suppose anyone can print anything they like in the close season without fear of being found out.
    Mice to have them though!

Jenas is beyond useless and there's no chance we're spending £7m on one player. I can't see Keane coming with the wages he'd demand and it would mean changing our style of play. Williams would be an excellent signing imo.

I don't want Williams or Tate or any of the other Swansea defenders, they just aren't better than what we already have.Swansea's defending vs Reading was shocking and will be found out way too much in the prem. So no Swansea defenders. Keane, no way in hell. Jenas, definitely not 7mill.

After watching Keane score twice again last night, I'm starting to think he could be a good signing. Not sure about Jenas.

Its a load of bullshit about Williams. We rejected a 2 million bid for him in January from Wolfsberg so we wont sell him to a team that has just been promoted with us for half that amount !

LFC fan in peace. I am really looking forward to seeing what QPR can do in this window as well as next season. Im really glad you got promotion.

As well as Keane and Jenas I think you guys should try get Defoe. Quality footballer, from London, unsettled at Spurs and I can see any big clubs going for him.

Also, how about Shaun Wright Phillips?

I also think Keane could be great for you guys, not just on the pitch but in the dressing room.

It's going to be good to see you back in the top flight after a long absense. And, it'll be nice to see you take Jenas off our hands. He's not in our first team, but he could do something for you in the middle of the park, as he can hold the ball fairly well. Keane, would be a great buy for you, but we'll probably demand at least £6m

I can't see us letting Defoe go for anything less than £8m, and I wouldn't have thought that's a sensible buy for a newly promoted club. Maybe a year long loan with a view to buy end of season if QPR stay up?

I think with the right team set-up Defoe is the best pure striker in the PL. A loan deal would be the perfect way to find out but we'd have to play a different system.

I think we'd be agreeable to a loan deal, I'm not sure if the player himself would be though. He has bags of pace, but does snatch at alot of chances, well, for us he does. Might just be our system doesn't really suit him

Trouble is I don't see Warnock moving away from the 4-2-3-1 system...

He'll probably have to. PL has much higher quality of players than you're used to playing against. He'll have to adapt, and become much more defensive. It cost Blackpool at the end of the day. They may have been massive entertainment factor, but they still got relegated. Taarabt is their Adam, you gotta make sure he doesn't have off days often, otherwise you're in trouble. This is coming from a spurs fan, that doesn't study the Championship massively, so this is based on a couple of your games i caught
