Is one Bale worth more than Coentrao Chadli Willian Lamela No. I think 3 of those will not disapoint. Just a thought though for those judging Chadli as poor or whatever on one game I remember Sandro's debut in this team. At home vs the Goons with Pletikosa making his debut, Bently on the left etc. (will never forgive Harry for this incompetance) Many 606ers completely wrote Sandro off in this one game, with a ****e team. You could clearly see he was strong, good touch, passed ok. not sure what others saw but I was drawn into many arguements about him. Now look. Everyone loves him. It may take Chadli 2-3 years, like it did with Luca & Bale as not everyone hits the ground running like Berbs and VDV but he is young and we should be patient. Even with all this spending (possibly) on the likes of Willian, whoever is on the pitch we should supprt and give them our backing. Can't believe the stick players like Gylfi are getting after being part of our best ever prem team. unbelievable. We had a mix of keepers, lost our 3best players, looked poor at the begining, and still got our best ever points total. If we have Bale for this year, we could achieve something special with these new guys....or we might not. But we should just enjoy the journey and not get too carried away with what will and won't happen. Many fans would give anything to see their teams where we are atm.

No one seriously believes chadi is crap (yet), it was a little tongue in cheek on a forum, as in this country we tend to get over excited by foreign players we have never seen play, I exect hardly anyone on this forum has watched Chadi and Willian play more then 2 league games , yet there is a degree of excitement, we all do it at times based on clips or seeing the odd champions league game. As for Siggy, after seeing him play in a spurs shirt, not every fan has to rate him or give him the benefit of the doubt, and he isn't getting abuse, just some fans believe having such a limited player as a our creative "force" isn't going to help our ambitions of getting top four. He may well have been part of our team last year, yet as we know Bale carried us last year and he helped hide a lot of flaws within the team, flaws which many never saw, or did see and ignored because we was winning. This year its great that we're trying to build a more balanced team, yet until these players produce then we won't truly know how good they are, or how good this team can become so you have to expect there will be fans over excited and some cautious.
He's been very good whenever I've seen him. Not £30mill quality but if it's what it takes to convince Bale to stay then it's a good deal for us and if Bale's leaving for the kind of money being quoted then our problem is not money but finding the player(s) that can replace the quality that we're losing with Bale. From the little that I've seen of them both, I'd rather we signed Lamela but Avb seems to be a big fan of Willian so if we can sign a player that he's wanted for 3 summer transfer windows in a row then it seems like a good idea to me.

Well if Bale was happy to stay then I don't think Real would be persisting with trying to sign him and we'd have him on a new deal. So that leaves me with the two trains of thought that I mentioned.
Just curious, where are you getting all the money from to buy all these players? I'm assuming it's from the sale of one Bale. Saying that, if you get the other players in then you will be a stronger force without him.

Hi Lazarus, It's got to be either: Hedged against Bale this year Hedged against Bale next year Hedged against CL next year Levy taking a punt now he has the Coach and DOF dream team he's been after since they bought Spurs. Possibly something in between all 4. TBH we are as clueless as the rest of the world!
