If you think that's insulting, that must be a lovely warm and comfy cocoon you inhabit. I shan't take your name in vain again. In fact to make you happy. I won't communicate with you again. Sorted <ok>

Well yeah. We aren't looking at signing messi, but if arsenal suddenly signed him it is integral to our season.

As has been pointed out, he's not gone anywhere yet. Pragmatism is the order of the day <ok>

Everyone's so sure their way is the only way.
We're suffering from several years of bad management. Perhaps it'll take several years of careful management to redress .

  10. There is no perhaps about it for me. We were on the brink of Administration and lost a potential title winning side due to the previous owners. We have had to start again and we had a **** platform to build from following Woy's and Kenny's spending (Hard hat on...? check!)

Rodgers got us playing some very good football in the latter half of last season. He has now had a full summer (his first) to adjust the squad to how he wants it so I expect us to do better, but I don't expect us to get fourth. We were twelve point behind fourth last year, that is not a small gap and it will take a lot of closing especially when other teams are improving too (with more money and from a better platform to boot!), we need luck to be on our side and we all need to pray that our star player doesn't become a three year old sulking in the corner!

It is in a football fans blood to get carried away at the start of a season, especially a Liverpool fan! I think everyone needs a reality check. That is not me being negative, that is me being realistic!

Tottenham have been heavily backed to sign both Willian and Erik Lamela as Gareth Bale's exit seemingly edges closer.

Spurs technical director Franco Baldini is reported to be in talks with both Anzhi Makhachkala and Roma amid suggestions of a fee, claimed to be in the region of £93million, having been agreed with Real Madrid for the sale of Bale.

If Spurs can pull that off they will be in with a strong shot at a push for the league

I think we could have pushed for fourth had Spuds kept Bale. They were an ok team with him, but it was Bale who won them games and earned the points - they looked average without. Now they're selling him, they've got a very good team and could yet make more top quality signings. I still think Arsenal are there to be beaten though.
