Even tho it was a shocker the planned points would have been 0 been realistic however Sunderland to lose at home to Fulham is three points lost.
So we are both on zero however one has played man city away and u lost to Fulham yes Fulham at home

With all due respect to Norma, Parpoo has really stunk up the joint consistently along with the upper heads.

Yes, we had long predicted the defeat, but what about the manner? The excuses he gave, "nothing to be concerned about" etc. How long can we continue to defend him if results don't pick up?

I don't want to see it happen, but my confidence in our team is at an all-time low. We may well lose a few of our upcoming home games.

The up and coming games we must get points from, can see us getting a point max on Saturday.
You can see why we were bricking it at the end due to our goal difference.

I can take losing but its the manner, the team has not a clue and this is of he back of an entire summer to fix the
    Issues

ffs Pardew blaming Arsenal for last night.Cabaye is contracted to Newcastle so he should have played **** this "head no right ****e",I seem to remember something similiar with Ba before he went and got beaten that day as well.

Just read paper reports and it was Cabaye's decision,as above shouldn't be his decision!

An awful, pathetic performance from a bunch of players who looked like they didn't care one bit. That young kid that come on at LB was decent and your keeper was good despite conceding four, but apart from that, every player on the pitch was pathetic. Alan Pardew has drained your squad of confidence, he's so out of his depth I think you'll be cut adrift well before Xmas and heading for certain relegation. French players that jump out of the way of a ball whilst on wall duties. City could have stuck 10 past you last night, straight out of pre-season and barely match fit. What's your answers? Obviously Pardew has to go but who makes that squad good in terms of managers not players?

I'm concerned with the make up of our squad, if we don't get some physical presence and players more suited to the league, it'll be a long season. I do think people need to calm down though. Its only the first game <laugh>

It's not though, it's actually the 39th game. It's okay saying "new season, new start" but that performance reeked of the home defeats to Sunderland and Liverpool. So it's not really a case of claming down, it's a case of our fans being concerned that over the whole of pre season our manager has still been unable to get most of our players back onside. Not all of them are putting in a 100% effort for him anymore and that's normally a sure sign that change is needed.

And you honestly believe that a change of manager is suddenly going to sort that lot out? <laugh> We'll still be powder puff and still have the same transfer policy of selling high and buy cheap french B teamers to plug the gaps. I have to admit last night did change one thing for me, our team/squad is not that good.

It couldn't get any worse put it that way. I happen to think that a manager who appreciates that quality and ability of people like Anita, Ben Arfa, Cisse (play to his strengths) & Marveaux would improve us. I accept we were playing the possible champions, but once again there was a 40 yards gap between our midfield and Cisse and as you say that's not Cisse's game and never will be. He's an instinctive finisher and nothing else.

I mean how is Pardew saying we played well and tried hard going to motivate the lads for next week???

Forgetting all that though, what do you about the fact they are mainly ill equipped for the league and a complete bunch of heartless fairies? You can play to their strengths all you want, if they don't fancy it and are physically not suited to the game here, they will fail. The manager clearly had a bad one last night, but the players are a shower of ****e. I honestly don't think we're very good.

Of last night's team Krul, Saylor, Colo, MYM (quick and strong), Dummett, Sissoko, Tiote, HBA, Gouffran (quick and a grafter), Jonas & Anita have all shown they can compete well in this league. I mean look at Sissoko against Chelsea home last season and against Villa away, he ran the show. Now after a few months with Pardew he looks a shadow of that player and looked so frustrated last night.

So there's 10 there. Santon I'm unconvinced about and Debuchy is really struggling at the moment. We are then massively light weight up front, but it doesn't matter who we sign up top until we learn to get bodies up in support of the front man/men.

How many "bad ones" does the manager get for you before he gets the chop though?

All I'll say is look at Spurs a few years ago, Ramos had them bottom with no wins in 9 games. Redknapp went in (a bang average manager) and got them flying. Some managers are just really that bad and Pardew in the last 12 months falls in to that category. It's proven that a new manager can change things around.

Pardew has clearly lost the players, forget whether the players or any good or not, the simple fact is they are no longer playing for this manager. So surely the only way to find out if they've got fight left in them is to bring in a manager that has a proven record of playing good quality, attacking football.

Our defence is weak, therefore attacking football is going to be needed to get results. We never (other than HBA) get one of our midfielders on the ball between the opposition midfield and defence so we can run at them etc. We got in to City's area only 3 times in the entire game and Pardew thinks we "threatened their goal well" <laugh> I mean that is pathetic, truly pathetic and also just a bare faced lie that doesn't wash with our support. He really has lost the plot.

So yeah maybe our players aren't that great, but they are better than the performances that Pardew has managed to drag out of them in the last 6 months so how can a change of manager be anything other than a positive move?
