there's a ban on advertising alcohol in Kazakhstan and we'll be wearing a variation of this logo on the jerseys tonight. please log in to view this image Better be ****ing green or black It's a long way to Karagaaaandy
Probably for the best unless you want to be abused in a leaky tent by a bearded Frenchman in the South of France.
I was thinking about one-off sponsors/strips there. When we played in Seville, we wore the following season's strip with an NTL logo instead of Carling - when the Huns played someone in Europe (Grasshoppers or somebody), they wore a one-off red strip, I'm sure. I'm sure Hibs had Carling in UEFA games because, although they don't ban alcohol advertising, they don't allow things over a certain percentage on shirts for Europa or CL games.
****ing hell. I just read that there's a ring of police and army around the field as well. That should help the lads settle down.
If the uniforms aren't the ex-soviet traditional brown with a long brimmed cap, then they've missed an intimidation trick. I remember games in the late eighties where soldiers were round pitches in certain countries and it always looked pretty imposing. It would para me right out, anyway.
