Steve Bruce at Derby game....

News to me.

 

I will say they were just rumours off of various sites, so i don't know the reliability.

 

He lives near there so it was either the washing up or the match.

 

I think someone from the management team or a couple of scouts will have been there.

 

Could be keeping an eye on Kasper Schmeichel its only four months until Christmas or as he signed a new contract yet

 

he was trying to take tips on NP's interviewing technique

 

Peter Schmeichel is on Goals on Sunday and just said he went to the Derby Leicester game, he is good friends with SB may have just gone for a chat.

 

Surely we don't need another keeper?

 

Sincerely doubt this.

I'd guess he's reserved for the likes of Arsenal, Man United and Chelsea.

 

Apparently it looked like Bruce was watching Jeff Hendrick, as every time he touched the ball Bruce was making notes etc... Good player

 

What, that SB was there? Why would you doubt that?

 

How could we? We already have the two domestic loan players we're allowed.

 

Got to be a Derby player, he knows hes not getting anything from us unless its silly money.

More to the point, why would Derby let him leave on loan?!

Just checked the rule about loans; we can only have 2 at a time and a maximum of 4 per season, but apparently if we buy the player then the loan spot doesn't count and we get it back. I guess this is why we bought Gardner and Zayatte, so that we could bring in Marlon King. It doesn't matter if they're domestic or not, if they're a temporary transfer then there can only be two at a time.

So at present there won't be any loans coming in, unless we buy Graham now (I'm guessing the buy out clause for Livermore doesn't come into effect until AFTER we're safe.).

We'd probably try and buy whoever it is anyway.

 

Schmeichel aside, you haven't really got any PL quality players that would improve on our first team XI, hence why we think Bruce is looking at Derby players.

 

I really think people are looking far too much into this. I bet we have someone from the club watching a game every single day / night there is one on - and so we bloody should have. It doesnt mean we're interested in them.

Isnt there the famous story about Shankly (I think) missing some major wedding anniversary cos he went to watch Burnley reserves for no particular reason?
