Seemingly taste for British players. I think it benefits the English game massively and I sort of hope they do well if they bring in these young English players they are linked with. Also, Kenny seems to be giving a few youth players a chance too which is paying off so go Liverpool. Makes a change from teams with money not buying up young English talent (Chelsea, Man City.)

I bet it was hard for a United fan to say 'Go Liverpool' ;)

On a serious note, I am also pleased with this. Having the English players who have potential linked with Liverpool is good news. I feel that some English players can seem more loyal that certain foreign players. (Yes, i'm talking about Torres!) Having a solid English base in your team, I feel, can help teams progress. <ok>

It's also great from the premier league's point of view (and the national team). You look at Spain and all and their big club players are Spanish. We haven't had an English player as top scorer in the prem for years.

Yea very true, that's why it's good we're promoting loads of local lads from acadamy/reserves. Kelly, for example, will be future RB for England at this rate.

    Blimey! You're easily pleased, OP!

If you're impressed by 'Pool's English players, you must be absolutely pissing your pants with Spurs' British Player Policy.

Crouch, Defoe, O'Hara, Bentley, Lennon, Rose, Dawson, King, Woodgate, Kyle Walker, Kyle Naughton, Bale, Hutton, among many others at the club.

Plus, there is now talk that we'll be signing Scott Parker and Joe Cole.

    Are your shreddies soaked, yet?

Well, it's not always needed. Arsenal's 'invincibles' proved you don't need a whole squad of british players. Occasionally, foreign players can embed perfectly into the ethos of the EPL, vieira at arsenal for example or Kuyt at Liverpool, and be just as influencial as a local bred talent. They're just hard to come by.

I like Liverpool's approach though, good solid british youth and a few foreign suiters thrown in. Nice mix should do us well and beneficial for the national sides. People like Wilshere, Rodwell, Kelly, Hart et al will be the core of English football so its good to see a few other clubs pushing them through.

As a United fan, I'd rather let Liverpool foot the bill for Ingurlish players.

    I bet you would!

You can keep shelving out for the Anderson's and Veron's!

Although to be fair - Carrick, Hargrieves, Rooney and Ferdinand cost you how much?

It's a shame everyone you just mentioned is ****.

Also, Bale is Welsh not British. As a spurs fan you should know that.

I hope you sign Joe Cole,With the mark-up on English players,we can easily scald Redknapp to the tune of £6 million.£6 million profit sounds nice.
