How the hell is any of that our fault? OMG they are so hurt we bid for him? Man up and reject it then instead of trying to use it as an excuse. Even the Castle fans will call out that BS
Went so far as to blame Arsenal for the loss tonight, said Cabaye's head was turned and he couldn't play. They would have had a better result if he had played...
Lol, Pardew is such a pathetic ****. Even if they had Messi upfront tonight they would have lost. Their defence was a hideous mess.
Agreed, pardew will just use this as a convenient excuse to try and hide the fact his team were ****. If one bid for one player can cause a 4-0 loss then they have much bigger problems than any club in the PL
You got the "ironic quotation marks" right. Arsenal are now 20/1 after all their "title rivals" have played, Pretty damning! Maybe Wenger should stick a wedge of the £70M war chest on it, seeing how he's convinced this current squad can contend
I didn't say it was our fault. I said we helped City by unsettling one of Newcastle's best players. Personally, I think Newcastle would have lost anyway though.
Yea it was cos of Wenger saying we are one of 6 teams who could win the title this year, which is bollocks of course.
Disagree with all the comments criticising Pardew. If Barca came along and bidded for Fabs just before a big game and we dropped him because he wasn't mentally there, we would be well pissed. We can't CHOOSE to be classy when it suits us. We should have waited for the game to be over and then bid for him. We've been so late in this transfer window already so waiting for a day would make little difference. It's not like Cabaye would be an amazing signing for us anyway!
I agree with him that transfer window should close before the season starts. I guess the problem is that different leagues start at different times..
Cabaye does really have issues with depression. It's not inconceivable that a small issue could cause him to lose it. Just what I read anyway, I don't know what to make of it all.
A bit of rival watching getting me worried is the Spurs Willian deal / money from Bales departure...they'll be strong.
Come on, if you're a French man playing for Newcastle and Arsene comes for you, you're telling me it wouldn't unsettle you? Of course it would. A lot of players, let alone french, dream to play under Wenger and for a team of Arsenal's quality!
https://twitter.com/BenSmithBBC BBC Sport's Ben Smith: Liverpool have, I'm told, missed out on Willian. Leandro Damiao not on list of alternatives. Spurs now look set to complete moves for Willian and Erik Lamela. Anyone would think they were about to come into some money. **** they mean business. Ãrik Manuel Lamela is a 21 years old Argentinian that plays for Roma. His current market value is £20m. He is a right winger and last season he scored 15 goals and 6 assists from 37 games. Those are impressive stats for someone so young playing in such a defensively hard league. He will be a big player.
And we're supposed to be the club with money. Compared with last season, our squad is worse, while they're substantially better. Anyone with half a brain would think the 1 point gap from last season is under serious threat. Hell, they already have 3 points on us. I'm so pissed off with Wenger ****ing us over like this.
