I bet Mussie is chuffed, Ferriby have gone top of the Conference North after a thumping 4-0 win at Bradford PA. Played 2, won 2. Scored 7 and conceded 1. A great start made by The Villagers.
Ferriby continue to astound me. Particularly as they lost a lot of players at the end of last season. We could do a lot worse than loan out some of our young guns to Ferriby, it would certainly be a better standard of football for them.
Great to see another East Yorkshire club doing well, hope they can push on into the Conference Premier with a few ground improvements. It'd be a shame for them to win the league and not go up. I know it's still early days but hopefully the Allams will notice their rise through the leagues and help with expanding the stadium. Then move them and rename them Al-Ahly Ferriby.
It's in our best interests for Ferriby to be as high up the ladder as they can get. Underlined and exclamation marked by our academy status. Ground improvements to make them suitable for promotion would be peanuts in the Allams case, but they have to get there first. If they do, personally I think the Allams would be insane not to help them, it would be the most value for money investment for our youth system by a mile.
Agreed. Would help boost our academy status if we had our youth playing there in a revamped stadium. It's hard to think Ferriby are only two promotions away from the Football League; why shouldn't they aim as high as possible?
Ten years ago Grimsby were nearly 40 spots above us on the League pyramid. Now they’re only nine above North Ferriby. L O L !
I heard a rumour that Ehab has bought Ferriby and is spending a bit of money and looking to get them up the leagues, hopefully getting to the prem and building the stadium in Melton. Very strange motive if true, but it will benefit Ferriby.
That's insane! I can't see it for many reasons, but primarily because AA doesn't know the first thing about football, but at least Ehab seems to have enough knowledge not to make daft decisions (name change aside). Where did you hear that?
Its early days, but North Ferriby Utd are going places thats for sure. If any of you get a chance you should get down to see our Mini League teams playing Sunday league on Ferriby playing fields. Koren's lad is in the U8's, there are some very good lads in all the teams. It will take time and cash but if done the right way in a few years we could see a lot of players coming through our youth teams straight into the first team setup, which is the plan.
Koren's lad is in the Ferriby U8s? Surely he's good enough for the Ferriby first team by now? Can he hit them from 30 yards yet?
My grandad has a bit to do with both City and Ferriby, sponsoring and things. So speaks to a few people at each club. I can't see it myself, but it would be interesting if they do end up rivaling City!
