In all honesty finglas it probably is too much to ask for. We live in a football obsessed Internet culture. hundreds of journos wanting info on anything footy related to feed the frenzy. Someone from some two bob mag / paper/ website sticking cameras in your face and wanting soundbytes 24/7. And you give them because someone in the press knows you're after a certain player anyway. Theres always someone at the club leaking this ****e to the press. All hr said about Parker was they'd done a deal and he hoped he would come. If you think that makes us look foolish i suggest you watch the 4 year plan again and remind yourself how foolish we used to look! Talking about potential transfer targets that don't come off... I thinking that Harry played it out in the media to try and make it happen............................ he can't be / he's not that silly to think otherwise, surely. There were obviously issues that he / Toz, knew of and he did his best to make it happen. Let's face it. were up against it. Trying to compete with players whose first thoughts are to play in the PL, it's only natural. Harry was just trying to do what he could. I'm not defending him, it is just how I see it to have played out. Sure, I'm peeved that Parker chose Fulham over us but if we are honest with ourselves, we probably knew it all along. At the end of the day, we already have some great players that are happy to wear the shirt. We will succeed !
