They seem to be pretty sure of themselves with that news article.

Why, Harry, why? Do you really think that fat Joe will ever, in your wildest dreams, be able to replace Modric?

This has "cheap-skate" written all over it. If fat Joe comes in cheaply (but no doubt on high wages) and Modric leaves in a big-money move to United, I will never forgive Levy.

I'll tell you this isn't true as failure in life journalists are ******s and therefore cannot grasp good players not playing for Manure/Chavski/Arsenil/Liverpoo

The irony is at 3 million it almost covers the ridiculous wages we were paying him this season! From a Liverpool fan's point of view, I can't wait to get rid of him, but I can't imagine you guys are too thrilled at this. Would 'arry actually be this stupid??

Even if Harry does want Fat Joe, and even assuming that Fat Joe is now prepared to moderate his wage demands (which, as I understand it, was the only reason he didn't come to us when he left Chelsea - who were not longer prepared to pay him silly wages), why the hell should we give 'Pool £3 million for him?

'Pool got him for nothing and gave him £90k a week to sit on their bench eating pies all season. If they want shot of him, they should let us have him for nothing.

Please, Levy, come out with a statement tomorrow and tell all us loyal Spurs fans that Fat Joe will never be permitted to set foot over the threshold of the Spurs dressing-room. Remember when he joined 'Pool, how he bragged that he was joining "the best and biggest team in the world." Well, Mr Levy, he wasn't talking about Spurs. He's another Notso, cast out by his boyhood club and coming to slum it with his third-best choice. He's damaged goods. Please don't let this be true.

I honestly don't think Harry will be stupid enough to want to replace Modric with Cole. He loves Modric and will want to keep hold of him regardless. I reckon it'd be more for back up, at least I hope, with Harry looking to sell players like Bentley and Kranjcar. Even as a replacement for those fringe players he isn't worth it though.

It's the latest in the Daily Fail's 'Modric to United' campaign.

    Bunch of ****s.

Great!! Just what we need!! Joe ****ing Cole. I can't believe he really would be that stupd, but if he buys Cole, and the sells Modric, as the Fail claims; then I will definitely be joining the ranks of the "Harry out" brigade.

This suggestion, Cole in/Modric out, is so preposterous that i refuse to believe it. Its a story knocked up based on flying rumours that is designed to provoke a reaction and sell papers. They have added 2+2 and come up with xyz.

Then on the other hand, despite his outburst last season upon being called a wheeler dealer, we know Harry is just that. This is right up his street and i wouldn't be suprised to see Cole come to Spurs. Obviously its the 'pave way for Modric to Man Utd' comment that is ridiculous. God forbid, were this to actually happen, i think we could safely say Levy is showing a massive lack of ambition

Could you imagine we sold Modric, and signed Friedel, Parker and Cole.

What would that say about our club...

You've a good point there Croatia,it would be a backward step. With Keane and Cole failing at Liverpool and Suarez and Carroll yet imo to prove themselves it seems to me that there are problems there. I can't say that I know too much about Cole as he isn't a player I ever followed. Players used to go to Liverpool and do nothing but excel. Ok so as I'm a neutral on Cole please tell me the objections.

My objections to us signing Joe Cole is that he is

    Injury-Prone
Rejected us last year for a 'dream move' to Liverpool for more money.
He has flopped there and they finished 6th so i don't see how he will help us get 4th and in my opinion not better than what we have.
    He's getting old
    His wage's will be massive.

Liverpool had the wrong manager to start with so the whole set up and not just Cole is to blame for their finishing 6th. Ok if he is injury prone that's a good point,we don't need that. Yes he is getting on a bit and wages I don't know. What about his playing strengths?

Cole is NOT going to replace Modric.Assuming that the reports are true then i think that Pienaar is going to leave and Cole has been brought in as LW back up. Its a shame that Harry does not seem to like Krancjar because right now Krancjar is twice the player that C

    Strengths

Bag of experience at the highest level - 2 PL titles with Chelski and a few FA Cups.
Probably the most skilful player England have ever produced.
London boy and Harry knows all about him.

Maybe Mr Levy thinks he's getting Ashley Cole for £3 Million. That would be better business but he would have to work hard to displace Benny
