I hope Mike Ashley is watching and has an ounce of sense...

Maybe he sees us as a direct competitor and wants to undermine us?

You my friend are in a world of your own.

That was the worst performance in terms of effort, discipline and heart ever in terms of a first game of the season.

Add to this the problems off the field, the fact that in the whole football league we are the only team to sign no players (not on loan) and to make matters worse we have kinnear in charge of signings.

People like you need to get a reality check and if that is the type of **** your happy to accept then you have a serious problem.

That was simply an awful performance. City could easily have had 7-9 if it where not for Krul.

Clueless bastard mate who imo lost the changing room long, long ago. If we don't bring in reinforcements he will be gone in a few weeks then Uncle Joe tenure will begin once again. It really is sickening isn't it?

    This <ok>.

It's not the defeat that hurts, I expected that, but it's the manner of the defeat and the attitude of the players that has been the biggest let down this evening

True. Your right. What I would give to have Nolan, Barton and Carroll right now!

Yeah but its easier to blame the French. Its not the nationality, its the attitudes that are the problem

When you're dreading games against West Ham and Fulham at home (which I am) then you know it's going to be a long season...

Yeah but win them and Citeh is a distant memory. The biggest concern for me is West Ham are a physical team, we look weak. Nasri even pushed Debuchy round like a little girl. Up front, we need to forget Cisse as a lone front man, he can't deal with the physical nature of the role.

This is one of the biggest problems we have. Ball goes up to Cisse and because he's generally isolated it comes straight back an we're on the defensive again. Got to play 2 up top regardless of how you set up the midfield behind.

Unfortunately, its not an over reaction to one game. It's a reaction to the obvious continuation of **** we were served up last year. Tonight's performance shows we are still not up to this standard both physically and mentally. For me, it's time for pardew to resign, he can't get this lot motivated at all.

Unfortunately it is an over reaction but you are right that it is more to do with a hangover from last season and the fans struggling to leave it behind. I do agree though, Pards might as well walk. The fans are never gonna back him and neither is the board.

Gotta take the positives from tonight:
1 Dummet looks like a good little player
2 Cisse wasn't offside all game
    3 Shola didn't get on

Disappointed by the manner of defeat, predicted a draw before the game but knew we would get beat deep down, and probably by a few too. Discipline was the issue tonight! Can Pardew get them back under thumb? We will see but not sure personally. Either got to go this week or give him the first five games but if its still an issue he has to go if the squads attitude remains the same. The look like they are playing for themselves ATM.

Well, that's that game out of the way. Now we can go on that unbeaten 37 game winning streak that I was hoping for this season....

Cheer up, it is only one game. Let's judge the side against teams that are not predicted to win the league. I'll stay positive until there is no hope left!
