Our first big game of the season is on the horizon and there are so many side plots involved in what promises to be a monumental encounter. Moyes vs Mourinho Loads of pages have been used to disect about this new rivalry but now round one has officially arrived. The media have been fascinated by the Scared One's (Moyes and Pellegrini are safe with a trophyless season, the scared one would be fired....again) return whilst Moyes has faced nothing but criticism from all quarters. Not quite the clash of the giants of SAF vs Mourinho but this one has promise. Early season scalps would do wonders for either man, laying down a firm marker and impose themself as the boss of mind games and tactics. The Rooney Situation Will he? Won't he? Much of the focus will be on the Rooney transfer saga which has taken too many columns than necessary. A few points of interest to watch will be Rooney's reaction, his effort against potential future team mates, and if he does score will he celebrate. A resolution to this saga can't come soon enough. Youth Chelsea have started blending youth into their team and United have a few gems that may also be given a chance this season. It will be interesting to see which team uses its youthful gems more and which ones make a big impact. Team News Manchester United: Currently Nani and the "Chelsea-killa" Hernandez are out with injuries. Rafael out with Hamstring. Chelsea: David Luiz at the center of a possible move as well is out injured. P.S. That's how it's done Meth, put some effort.
according to physioroom, we will be missing 6 W Rooney Calf/Shin Injury no return date (that was reported after Saturday match !! WTF?) J Evans Illness 26th Aug 13 A Young Ankle/Foot Injury no return date Rafael Hamstring Injury 14th Sep 13 J Hernandez Hamstring Injury no return date Nani Groin/Pelvis Injury no return date lucky chelsea have one only D Luiz Hamstring Injury no return date
Injuries are part of the game and we have always been pretty good at coping. At least Vidic is fit, for now!
Hard to predict this one, looking forward to it though. Looks as though Rooney is definitely off though, hard to see a way back for him now after Sat and this apparent injury.
if Rooney is really injured, that leave us with 2 strikers only .. not ideal if we need more people upfront
Wouldn't want to predict this one either, though I'm going with a 2-1 to us. Not sure how we will score against you lot without Hernandez though!
Rooney must be joking asking Moyes for more time of play to gain 100% fitness while still pushing to join another club .. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/10...er-David-Moyes-I-need-to-play-more-games.html
true .. but we are lacking fire power atm.. is all on RVP shoulders atm.. having chicha and Rooney on the bench could had been ideal if we needed a push for a goal or if RVP injured .. missing Nani will not help either .. let us hope RVP stay fit till we sort out Rooney case or buy a replacement
