I think that you will find that the draw of Premiership football outweighs that of Championship football, but if you want to pretend it is an anti Harry Redknapp thing because YOU don't like him, then that is your prerogative.
It is not because of Redknapp We are a fairly small championship team with a ground and training ground which need replacing

We need to be looking for the next Parker and not worry if we stay in the Championship for a couple of seasons. Young hungry players like Austin who want to come and play for us and put in a massive shift every week are the type we need to build a side that will not need much changing when we do go back up.
Parker was only coming to us if there was no Prem option, so no surprise really. I have sympathy with him as still playing in the Prem is a no brainer. As for no one special arriving, what about Charlie Austin think that will be an absolute steal by the end of the season. I am hoping that Chris Baird doesn't get poached by a prem team, he is obviously good enough. But as I said in another thread we have 4 or 5 youngsters who I feel will do a job for us through the season. So all is not lost.

Exactly. Has beens are not what we need. Nor do we need any more midfielders the wrong side of 30. Any who would prefer us over a Prem. side will have come here for all the wrong reasons and more fool us for paying over the odds to have them. We still have half a football team of overpaid mercenaries who are not even willing to put in a shift in the reserve team here. And why should they when they can earn millions for doing nothing at all?
