If true lets go for Bale next then sell him on for double The club thought that after matching QPRâs successful £2million offer for the player they would be be granted permission to talk to him. But they had not allowed for Spurs chairman Daniel Levyâs tough negotiating stance. Levy told Fulham that they would have to pay double the fee agreed with QPR to take Parker from White Hart Lane. Levy insisted that the £2m figure was a reduced price because QPR were in the Championship. Premier League clubs would be asked to shell out £4million. Levy insisted that the £2m figure was a reduced price because QPR were in the Championship But that has not put off Jol, who is still hoping to beat QPR boss Harry Redknapp to http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...ootball-news (Daily Express :: Football Feed)
It'll be interesting to see if they can match our wage offer after being fleeced in classic Levy style...
Find it hard to believe this story but hey if anyone is going to pull something like this it's Levy. Would point out that The Express told us a few days ago that Parker had, had his medical with us which of course was just not true. Really hope this is sorted this week one way or another.
Actually makes complete sense that Levy would do that. Fulham are in the PL, so can afford to pay more, and are also a 'rival' in the same league as Spurs. By rival I mean they will play against them.
Apparently not. Fulham have spent 6 million, including 1 and a quarter million on someone called Sasha. We've spent 5 million, though admittedly 1 million of it was on karl Henry
how can a player be worth more to one club or another, a price is a price, next time levvy wants a ffc player tell him its 5m more because you are a top 6 team. knob
Hes a dick, Id love it if Real pull out of the Bale deal after hes spent all the money he would have received from it.
He's not worth it. Plus it's unfair to say that because we've trimmed things back that we can afford more - it's like telling Greece that they've got money because they imposed austerity measures. You are right though, a player's valuation is an absolute figure based on age, experience and ability and not destination. Levy will be very lucky if all his plans come to fruition and he doesn't end up with a handful of players that aren't wanted/want out and a big dent in his pocket.
couldn't happen to a nicer chap, after what he did to jol, he should give ffc to parker, I doubt that rangers really want him, its a harry and levvy ploy to get more money for parker, then levvy pays harry a backhander and gives rangers defoe for 4m lol
Looks like hes going to Fulham, having a medical there. Fantastic news, we dont need him with O Neill being very good and Faurlin coming back. Now go get 2 CFs, 2 CBs, a LB and 2 wingers!
You're bang on the money Flyer... Fulham Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of England international Scott Parker from Tottenham Hotspur on a three-year deal, for an undisclosed fee which will see the player at the Club until at least the summer of 2016.
I'm the second happiest. I didn't want another 32/33 year old in our squad. Nothing personal against Parker but I feel we need younger players.
