To be fair, I think they're ok now and again but we were getting inundated.
I don't mind too much either way, if I go on a thread and I don't like it I just don't go back much (LFC Utd "banter" thread for example)
What I find more annoying is when genuine football threads get hijacked- like that interminable running battle in the Suarez thread recently. In that case, if you want to contribute to the thread it's more difficult because you have to wade through a load of dross to get to the point.

 

I understand that which is why I actually tried to keep that one (Suarez) on topic but that is much easier said than done. Unfortunately, I think this board is set in its ways and it is going to be very difficult to stop it happening. The only way it is possible is if a mod sat here and read every comment deleting any that are off topic in the process. Quite simply, no one is going to do that as even I don't spend that much time on here (I never read all comments, I rely on you guys reporting any wrong doings)

 

Last but I totally agree with, it got boring towards the end which is why I suggested it get shut down, thing is its not fair on those who actually want to discuss the matter.
