SSN now reporting Spuds are ahead of us in the bid to sign Willian, good for them.. Agree with earlier comments by MITO, no point getting too excited about a player that hasn't signed for us. Also, if he was aware of our interest last week, and if reports are to be believed that we'd pretty much agreed terms with him and his club before/over the weekend, if he really wanted to come he'd have committed by now, again, I may be reading too much into this, it appears he's used our interest in him to try and get a deal elsewhere, and if all else fails, he'll sign for us....
Personally I think it's bullshit, I don't see how spurs are suddenly "ahead" and SSN have been contradicting themselves all day. Just a slow news day

I think they'd responded a little to the SkyBet odds. Spuds had become favourites in the betting earlier, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're more likely to get him.
The SSN changes are based upon the betting changes on Sky Bet and not on any 'hard' info. If there are big bets being made it's more likely to come from the London area than up here!
