Wilshere's a much better player than Ramsey or Sigurdsson, when he's fit, but he's also got significant fitness issues and he's a pillock. No doubt he'll do a van Persie and finally sort himself out at some point, before immediately moving to Manchester the following season. Parker passed a medical at Fulham and will sign with them, apparently. Redknapp won't be happy.
The media seem to be slightly misreporting the Villas-Boas talk about Willian. He was asked if he could confirm a bid for him, to which he replied, "No, not really", which could mean either that we haven't made a bid or that he couldn't confirm it. As he then went on to talk about not wanting to disrespect Anzhi by talking about the player, either interpretation could be plausible.
" Parker passed a medical at Fulham and will sign with them, apparently. Redknapp won't be happy. " He is worthy of a PL team, and BMJ hugs are just as good as Arry hugs.
No, he isn't. He's in the Europa League squad, but he's injured. Villas-Boas has specifically ruled him out for Thursday. He trained a bit today though, apparently.
"He is eligible for selection because he is included in the UEFA team, on the list we put through, but he's not available because of injury. "He is going to have a clearing session today (Monday), so hopefully we will get good positive signs." - Andre Villas-Boas. The clearing session bit means that he's doing light training, basically.
Assuming it's possible for him to be fully fit for then and not rushed back too early..................
I doubt he'll play. Even if he was fit i'm not sure Tbilisi with no doubt a crappy pitch is the place for him to come back. If he's fit the place for his return would be at WHL at the weekend
If Bale plays in the return home game against Tblisi next week he'll be CL cup tied, ending all Madrid interest this year...and with a rapturous reception me thinks! What we need is Madrid to get fed up and pull out, soon as that happens, Bale will mysteriously recover!
"What we need is Madrid to get fed up and pull out, soon as that happens, Bale will mysteriously recover!" 10 days to go either way. However it ends, that is one serious Spurs squad that is being assembled.
Parker has gone https://twitter.com/SpursOfficial "We have reached agreement with Fulham for the transfer of Scott Parker. #THFC pic.twitter.com/mjkOp1Svpn"
Thanks to Parker and Harry for bringing him in. Despite huge opposition from the fans he proved to be just the player we needed at that time. Good luck to him at Fulham.
I'll second that. A great professional and he gave us just what we needed when he joined us. He did a lot of work with the under 14 and under 15 squads last season as part of his coaching courses, and he was a credit to his profession. He used to be given a 1 hour session with the kids and they had to drag him off after 2 hours, such was his enthusiasm. Great bloke and he is going to a good club, wish him well.
What we actually need is a Trade Embargo with Spain (Madrid in particular) over the Gibraltar affair.
Strange one this as I'm actually a little sad to see him go, but I think we've brought in a superior replacement. A real throwback to days past, is Parker and I mean that in the nicest way. 100% commitment, doesn't moan, isn't nasty and can play a bit, too. Guess that's why he's always given a good reception when he returns to his old clubs. Good luck to him and his new club, along with all the other ex-Spurs staff there. Hope they win their next game, at least. Who've they got?
