Hello and welcome to the official Aston Villa v Liverpool match threadTM. After picking up three points against Stoke City on the opening game of the new Premier League season, Liverpool hope to kick on from their bright start away to Aston Villa.

Villa themselves will be confident going in to this one, after picking up all three points after an impressive display beating Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates, a game which was full of controversy. They also travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Wednesday.

I'll try to keep the thread short for app users.

None. The FA just wanted to make sure Chelsea played an extra game just before Man Utd

 

CL, mainly seeing Arsenal go in wounded against Fenerbache.

Aston Villa I feel will be a tricky team this year, probably not relegation fodder but a good mid-table side that will certainly shock a few clubs.

I feel there are 6 sides who have genuinely improved the standards this year.

VILLA
West ham
Fulham

You have to say the mid table has got a LOT stronger over the summer and as villa both retained and strengthen a bit i quite fancy them to surprise a few.

LFC need to kick on here and our fans need to stop thinking the mid table teams or automatic wins. This is a bloody tough game and we better that the a grade game for it.

 

Must win game this, if we can get the points then it's going to lift us going into the game against Utd.
