Lots of unrest at the Arsenal and now the shareholders are laying the blame at lack of investment in the American 'owner'. "Then there's the doom scenario of failing to qualify for the Champions League group stages should they lose to Fenerbahce. The club may be waiting for their Champions League qualification before completing signings but that doesn't add confidence either. New players would help the club qualify and it would give a suggestion that if Chapions League qualification failed then targets wouldn't be so ambitious. This situation has led the club's former second largest shareholder, and honourary vice president, Nina Bracewell-Smith to take to Twitter and state her regret at selling the club to American owner Stan Kroenke. "What a shame the board recommended a Kroenke takeover and paid Rothchilds 3m fee. And how deeply I regret selling to Kroenke." Indeed they had a bit of a fall out over purchase of an NFL franchise but Shad did say he had sought Stan's advise before deciding to buy us. Anyway, for now happy that there is unrest at the Emirates before their Euro game against Fenerbahce on Wednesday and our game on Saturday.
Maybe they will, but their next match is on Wednesday, not us. I'm certainly not counting any chickens, but they've got a string of injuries in a smaller squad that hasn't been particularly reinforced from last season, they've got crucial European matches either side of their game with us and their fans are on their backs. None of that guarantees us a win, but it's certainly grounds for optimism.
A few of my arsenal mates aren't very confident as they have a few injuries and one defender is banned.
Yes they have the skill, and could be dangerous. However, the usual problem will be lack of leadership - something Arsene Whinger has ignored for many years. So I'll be looking for Scott Parker to boss the midfield and Brede/Aaron/Sascha to do well then we should take the points. C O Y W!
