You must be a mind-reader Surly! @BBCMOTD: MOTD at 10.30pm: 1.Swansea/ManUtd, 2.Arsenal/Villa, 3.Norwich/Everton, 4.L'pool/Stoke, 5.WestHam/Cardiff, 6.WBA/Saints, 7.S'land/Fulham
Good win, despite being outplayed most of the game. This is the type of game we would have lost last year, but credit to the boys they didn't give up. Great defensive stand, particularly from the center backs, I thought.
In line with the Club’s initiative (to rate each player’s performance in the ‘Notebook’ issued with season tickets), here is an assessment from the Sunderland game: Maarten Stekelenburg: 8 A tremendous display by the Dutch keeper on his Fulham debut. He produced a number of saves – the pick of the bunch denying Celustka – before being forced off with a shoulder injury. It would be a real shame if the problem sidelines him. Sascha Riether: 7 With Fulham under pressure for large parts of the match, Riether was unable to get forward much. But he was solid at the back and played his part in a determined defensive performance. Aaron Hughes:9 Showed why he is such a good ’thwart’ for Hangeland and could not have wished for a better start to this term. Was excellent in the air and on the ground from start to finish. Brede Hangeland: 8 Another who stood firm against the Sunderland onslaught. Typically dominant in the air and calm on the ball. Kieran Richardson: 6 Difficult to rate but was having a decent game against his former club before going off injured after 16 minutes. . Damien Duff: 7 Delivered the corner from which Kasami headed in the winner and overall had a very tidy game. Used the ball well and offered good defensive cover on the flank. Steve Sidwell: 6 Was overrun at times, but was calm on the ball when Fulham most needed him to be. Grew in stature as the game wore on. Derek Boateng: 5 A tough introduction to English football for the new signing, who was booked in the first half and found the pace and physicality of the midfield battle difficult before being replaced on 65 minutes. Adel Taarabt: 7 Did well on his debut, especially given that his lack of pre-season action means he is short of match fitness. Showed his ability with a number of clever passes and could be a real asset when he is up to speed. Pajtim Kasami: 8 Scored the all-important goal and overall had a very good game. Offered an attacking threat and knew when to drop back to stop us being swamped in midfield. Could make an impact this season. Dimitar Berbatov: 6 Was isolated up front, which was hardly surprising given the nature of the game. Showed some nice touches as usual but it wasn’t his day. Matthew Briggs: 7 Proved to be a very sound stand-in for Richardson. Defended well and showed good composure on the ball. David Stockdale 7 Didn’t have too much to do when he replaced Stekelenburg, but slotted in comfortably. His distribution was better than Stek’s. Shouldn’t be any worries that he is likely to be between the sticks against Arsenal. Giorgos Karagounis: 7 Improved the team after coming on for Boateng. Picked his passes well and wasn’t afraid to put a foot in when required.

I'd throw your Abacus away or take it back to Mothercare for a refund , there were at least a 1,000 and more. We filled the Blocks 36/37/38 that we had been given for our ticket allocation. It's not about the quantity it's about the quality of our support. Where we were sitting didn't hear much of the Sunderland support, but that could be acoustics. You forgot to mention with 10 minutes to go your support started to empty the stadium, to chants Is there a fire drill? Went to the Queen Victoria before and after the game near Roker Park, there were more Liverpool and ManU supporters in a Pub whose walls were covered in giant pictures of Sunderland.
It said in the Sunderland program you only sold about 600 tickets so I rather believe that than you. no way was there 1000 fulham fans there. I was in the posh seats & we didn't even know you was there till you scored LOL. I don't go in the Queen Victoria so I don't know if thats true but I will ask other sunderland fans & see if thats true or not.
not bitter then? how come the little dots under your name are red? aren't they generally green? does that mean the majority of what you write on this site is negatively received?
Most people says Fulham away support is poor tho. in my opinion you should sell more away tickets because you always get over 24,000 at home games. my bar is red because I tell it like it is & I been banned before. who cares anyway.
Most people? Where- In the world? In the UK or just in your head? Tell me how you conducted your research I am fascinated. You clearly don't tell it like it is - recently you wrote Day release LOL well if poeple support man united & they are from sunderland I would put the ****s down. Exaggerate much?
I'm going to say *****lia??? A 12 hour flight from Europe and football being nowhere near their national sport I don't believe that their are more than a handful of Whites fans within the country?? Am I right? What's the prize for this quiz anyway?
