Fair point but he still showed great technique for both open play goals and the penalty was sound.

That should put a £20 million price-tag on his head this Summer and make it easier for us to get Leandro <ok>

i think we should keep him, and use him a bit more. Get him happy, and he'll be like that more often for us

Makes me happy to see that! He's definitely one to keep for next season, I'd be gutted to lose him

Agree with you. I really like him, I think he's a great player, but he's under valued

I wonder if that has changed the minds of many Spurs supporters who thought he was useless last season. He started to score well towards the end of the season and on form he will do very well for us next year. I've always rated him but as has already been mentioned Harry needs to play him more.

Agree TMT. He could do with another striker with him though. I don't think he suits lone striker role perfectly.

random,Spurs have never suited the one striker role and I was going to post about the new possible Brazilian striker with him but I couldn't remember his name.

I know we haven't, but as is the trend with European football, to be competitive, you need a 5 man midfield, which is a shame for us, as i think having 2 strikers works with us, and Leandro is the guy you're thinking of. he plays for Internacional, the same club Sandro came from

That's him. I wasn't aware of this point about a five man midfield in Europe which is why we need scoring midfielders I would think. Thanks random, that's given me something to think about.

I could be making that up, but if you look at all the successful European teams, it's 1 striker, and 5 midfielders, with 1 supporting the striker, and emphasis on the wings. With our link to Internacional, it should help us get Leandro. He's Brazil's latest striekr for the national team, so hopefully he'll be a great buy

The current Spurs squad would suit a 5 man midfield with Bale and Lennon on the wings and Modric/Hudd/VDV in the centre

It's the system that would have really suited Bent/Berbatov as both are best as a lone striker and we need that type of player to join us as none of our current strikers are capable of that role

I like Pav, I think he is the best striker we have by a long way.
He has been hot and cold for a while for us, but with an extended run in the team, I can see him being very useful!!

It seems more people have the same opinion as you. We can all hope Redknapp also thinks the same. He's a spurs player, so why not use him?

I agree, Pav should be given an extended run. He is clearly the most talented finisher (striker) we have in the team. Defoe, hits the ball as hard as possible and hopes that it goes in. Don't get me wrong I do like Defoe, I believe that when he has a sight of goal he will shoot. The disappointing part of his game is when he gets one-on-one, you feel like you would back the keeper every time. Somehow Crouch bundles the ball over the line. I'm sorry but even I have a more powerful shot that Crouch. Who has ever heard of a Premier League striker who physically cannot hit the ball with any power from outside the box. Crouch has to go.
