Clive Whittingham's report, an interesting comparison to Judo's and Raving's. An injury time goal on his debut from youth team graduate Tom Hitchock was enough for QPR to see off Ipswich at Loftus Road on Saturday. Having spent the pre-match build up talking about a number of negative aspects that have become typical of the modern day QPR it made a refreshing change to secure a win against Ipswich with a last minute winner from a youth team graduate. Prior to Saturday the only player listed on the clubâs official website who had come out of the youth team and scored for the seniors was Ray Jones, whose number 31 shirt was retired after his death in 2007. The few players capable of playing first team football who have come through the ranks at QPR, who operate a centre of excellence in a city packed full of state of the art academies belonging to other clubs, have been picked off by the bigger fish before theyâve even had a chance to make a Loftus Road debut. Serial loanee Angelo Balanta doesnât have a squad number this season. Read on ...... http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footba...ate-hitchcock-thriller-seals-qpr-win-–-report
I always read this blokes posts from the bottom and agree about his comment re BZ ... ****ing idiots at LR at times you fickle ****ers get behind the team as for the hero .. good for him but it was a tap in ... where's the story? ... QPR from what i listened to and watched should have put this game to bloody bed and best they start doing so ... we need to kill off teams . Hill missed a sitter and Austin FFS composure ... Ipswich looks dire. but some teams will get it together and we need to be ready for them. OT: just watch MOTD2 ... what a load of ****e ...we need to get back asap and be nasty bastards about it. Welcome back Swords .... get over for the match
Did you actually read it or did you just copy paste your usual reply to these threads? Swords is back alright
My mates son has just finished Uni and writes ... He got a first and his articles on politics are very good but ... He adds extra words when not necessary in an attempt to flower up his point . Believe it or not I do some copy writing here and there and everything we have to touch nowadays has to be in plain English or de tuned ... Such is the way people communicate Any backlash against a blogger or journo today is because like on here we have evolved into quick and dirty and anyone who gets stuck with a subscription of followers will always need to satisfy his/her readers We will always prefer to listen than read on mass as culture and technology advance that isn't right or wrong it's how it is ... Technology has given everyone a voice if they want to use it ... The fact remains you have a choice to read and enjoy but you also have a choice to comment . Rollers bits are superb and the plus side is he is also human enough to be on here and be real ... CW IMO will collect the odd poor comment because he could be stuck now in a journos club ... Swords has a point that the bits maybe are too long and all about him plus more importantly they are in the past . I used to love getting a Sunday paper on a Tuesday in France not knowing the results now I watch it live and comment in real time ... There's a big difference and its the soul of what makes these forums so good and addictive . If you like CW good on you but are they are good as a live match and your own mind ... Not even close IMO but in the same breath they are very good and bring pleasure to many
Swords - welcome back - like a trip to the library, or reading the newspaper, you are not forced to read every book or article? I think that by now, we are a familiar with Clive's particular style of writing, which I happen to enjoy, so I guess, take it or leave it. I also enjoyed reading the other, certainly more succinct, match day contributions by our fellow board members, so in nutshell, each to their own. Perhaps Twitter, with the 140 character limitation, should be your game?

I think that's the main issue for his detractors Oddball. Stan has mentioned in the past how he once devoted a full half of his "match report" to complaining that the Club never gave him his "Supporter of the year" medal. And that was just one in a long line of similar instances. He is a most peculiar individual I find.
