A good performance today and that final signing that SB hinted at on thursday maybe another sock blower off-er. Lol.

I suspect Matt Fryatt will attract the attention of mid-table championship teams come the end of the window.

If we do let him leave we'll replace him with someone better then we already have; most probably smashing our transfer record again due to striker-inflated fees.

Either we should play Aluko upfront or we get a nifty striker like him. We have a two tall strikers, a bulky one but no small/pacey one.

I think we probably need another striker. Fryatt and Proschwitz can't make the bench even though we had 2 CBs, 2RBs and 3CMs on there. We could easily have sacrifised Bruce or McShane for one of them.

Yeh definitely . Not sure we should go for a loan again unless the guy is a great prospect. But I would go for a fast player that makes the runs because Sagbo and graham won't.

We need to sign a striker who will have the same impact Huddlestone had on our midfield.... I know its easier said than done but I feel if the Allams/Bruce can pull one last rabbit from the hat before the window closes and sign a striker that VASTLY improves our forward line we'll have a much better chance at staying up than we have now.

I know its early and we've so far only played Chelsea but I just cant see where the goals required to stay up this season are going to come from... Sagbo - never been prolific, might get 5-7 goals... Graham - had 1 good season at this level for Swansea and he was in a very good team that created many chances and played beautiful football...

I hope im wrong of course and Sagbo & Graham come good... but I just have a feeling that we're still on the lookout for 1 more striker.

Not sure we will spend more unless we ship though.

To be realistic, even if we broke our transfer record again, whoever we could bring in in the £6-8M bracket would still will not guarantee goals.

Rhodes has looked no-one near as good as the £8M market price tag he would command.
Look how much Crystal Palace spent on Gayle and he looked completely out of his depth today.
Bendtner's wages would rule him out and he's never been prolific.

He was watching Jeff Hendrick at Derby game yesterday, making notes every time he touched the ball

I would still like Rincon. I dont see us getting a striker of real quality and improving the midfield further would give people the chance and flooding the box with our forward players.

Saying the same thing again, but I'd rather see us sign a proper right winger which we don't even have at the club, which then frees aluko up to play central whenever we want him to.

Could easily play Elmo as the right winger and have Rosey as the RB.

We've done it before. And it would probably work.

Sort of suggested that on another thread last night but I think 4-2-3-1 might be the best use of the players we've got:

    -----------------McGregor
    Rosenior--Chester-- Davies--Figueroa
    -------Livermore------Huddlestone
    --Elmo-----------Aluko-----------Brady
    -----------Graham/Sagbo?

He's not an out and out winger, more a wing back/full back i reckon, he can play there but I don't think he offers the same support in the box that a winer should. He can cross but that's about it, he's not nimble to jink around defenders and cut it back for tap ins, he's not pacey to hit teams on the counter, he stays wide and never cuts in... we need a right footer like Brady and Aluko for balance IMO. Besides if either of those get injured we are fecked, specially as it looks like we'll be playing with wingers more often than not this season.

Scott Sinclair would be alright. Not as if he's going to play at Man City.

I actually think he's more suited to the wide midfield role than he is the RB role; he left some really exploitable spaces yesterday. If he's going to be playing RB then he needs to take a leaf out of Rosenior's book and get his arse back in position after an attack.

You can only name 7 so someone has to miss out. Even though i agreed with SB starting 11 and most of the subs bench We should have had either Fryatt or Prozzy instead of Bruice.

Just seen Gareth Bale down Anlaby Road today. Wtf..................

Steve Bruce i suspect still has one more rabbitt to pull out of the hat before 11pm on sept 2nd 2013.!!!
