Just laughed out so hard at the Casey Anthony reference in the new Family Guy.

 

Oh god, watching Shawshank again, jeez the Brooks scene always gets me

 

Shh I'm recording it will watch it tomorrow.

 

Underrated scene from a brilliant movie

 

What, the bit where Heywood comes in and offers fair-thee-well, or where he hangs himself..? With me it's the former because you realise that Brooks is so petrified of leaving Shawshank Prison.

 

I agree Papa, great scene.

Ahh sorry TSS should have been clearer, i am on about the suicide scene, feel so sorry for him. Makes me hate the car driver, the lady who wants a double bag and the bloody store manager!!

 

Yeah, it's a powerful scene in itself, but when Heywood comes in and he puts a knife to his throat, and the rest have to talk him out of injuring/killing Heywood because the prison would have a reason for keeping him, it gets to me.

I kind of spend a lot of the later parts of the film with a lump in my throat. The weirdest one that I have no explanation for is when Red sees the tree at the top of the hill and walks up the side of the field where the stone wall is, and you see the tree and the man in relation to the tree. There's something fundamental going on there that I can't put my finger on, but it really gets to me

I like that bit when he's crawling through ****. Proper gets to me.

I'm plowing through this Coen Brothers collection. Watched The Hudsucker Proxy earlier today and now I think I might check out Fargo.

 

What have you made of the ones you've seen so far?

 

I can see why people like The Big Lebowski, the characters are very funny. Hudsucker Proxy is amazing for the first hour or so but really trails off after. O Brother Where Art Thou is probably my favourite because Clooney is amazing in it and it's a really clever storyline loosely based on Homer's Odyssey but in the old west. Also I've seen A Serious Man a couple of times and that's really clever.

 

Right..! I'm off to spend an hour on Rome: The Battle of the Demo Free Download.

If I don't ever return it was nice knowing you lot.

So aaron paul just started phoning up random twitter followers of his, that guy is so awesome

 

TBL is my favourite film of all time. I think the film that comes closest to that of their others is Burn After Reading, which has one of those storylines that goes no where and very clever and sharp dialogue. I also like The Men Who Stare at Goats and True Grit.

 

Watched Kick Ass 2 yesterday, excellent film, thoroughly enjoyed it.

 

I did. They didn't.
