Davies McGregor Meyler (for being everywhere when we were overwhelmed and most of his team mates went AWOL) a learning lesson for all !!
1. Brady 2. Huddleston 3. Sagbo McGregor would have been in there but for 2 reasons, 1 he gave away a needless penalty and 2. he is scottish
Cool, if you want to put more of an explanation on why you rated those 3 or how you rate others just set it up like that then put the rest in a new paragraph below it. That way they count your rankings for the MOM as well as our player of the season.
Huddlestone and Livermore looked a class above when they came on, but I wouldn't give any of our players enough to score more than a 7 out of 10 for that performance. And Brady should have had a penalty awarded against him which if given would have taken him out of most posters top 3. Perhaps McGregor deserved a 7 for keeping the score respectable.
The Independent quite harsh with their ratings for us... Hull (4-3-3): McGregor 5; Elmehamady 5, Chester 5, Davies 5, Figueroa 5; Koren 6, Meyler 5, (Huddlestone 6, 59), Brady 6; Aluko 5 (Boyd, 78), Graham 5 (Livermore 6, 59), Sagbo 5.
Elmo McGregor Sagbo I was tempted to put Brady, because he was amazing in the last 30 minutes, and that's how I hoped he would play this season. But he did have a dodgy first half, and i'm sure I will be choosing him a lot this season... Edit: Forgot Figueroa - he was one of our main strengths in the first 30. Thought he looked quite calm and impressive on the ball. I don't recall him doing too much when we improved, but that isn't such a bad thing.
Cant believe all those voting for Davies. Played Oscar onside for first goal, granted Koren left him . Then too many passes directly to Chelski players .
Not sure what brady did to warrant Motm. Must have watched another game! 1- Sagbo 2- Aluko 3- Mcgregor
Elmo Davies Sagbo I did feel for Graham in the first half was very isolated, every ball up to him was hit in a panic because we were under so much pressure and even if it did get anywhere where he wanted it we couldn't commit enough men forward to support him. Davies improved massively as the game went on and Elmos running with the ball at pace was as good as ever. Personal highlight of the game was Aluko spinning Ashley Cole and leaving him for dead and then once getting to the box turning him again Plenty of promise for this season though.
