Lineker only does MOTD. He did praise us on our 2nd half on twitter though.

Other than that, probably the same as Hoddle. Have their heads up Chelsea's arse.

    who?
The ONLY reason we got THUD was cos he really wanted to work with SB.
Thud was by far an outstanding influence in midfield when he came on.

Saints fan here, I think you're all jumping ahead of yourselves a bit. Admittedly the opening 30 minutes was fairly disastrous for you, but that's was expected given the circumstances. The second half was reasonably promising from a neutral point of view. Get a premier league standard centre half to marshal your defence and I think you'll have a great chance.

I wonder what quinn will be like.
I am quite glad that we got the toughest game over first, cos it shows us just what we are up against and it shows us where our strengths and weaknesses lie.

Another point, I can see why Bruce was so keen to bring Davies in. His pace saved us a few times when Chelsea's wide men got in behind. <ok>

I suppose, let's face it the teams you will get points against are likely to be between 20th and 11th. If you get any points from teams above there,it's a bonus.

The law of probability means it's almost certain we will pick up some points home and away against teams that are expected to give us a drubbing.
I think this team will take a little time to acclimatise to the division, and we may enter September with null points, but I think as long as we can keep players like Aluko, Thud, Brady and Livermore injury free then we will fight our way through.

We were bottom of the league with four points going into November, you will find a way of getting points. It just might take a while.
