    Atleast have them positioned so you can walk through them, even if it is just for the novelty.

    They look like they are resting against the wall. THe scrap metal men in their van might try and take them.

    Depends how you look at it, if anyone was seriously expecting the gates to go back in their old place, get real, they can't go back there. In reality they can't go anywhere around SJP and be used as gates as such, H&S prevents that from happening. Would cause crushing with a bottleneck down towards Gallowgate.

    The principle is fine with me where they've been located.

    I'm sure these were at the Leazes End. West corner,
    it was where all the players and officials would drive in
    not far from where the TV vehicles now park

    People just want something to whine about and blame Ashley for. TBH I thought the news that Southampton had signed Osvaldo for £15m may have reached here and got everyone crying again. I was going to offer some sympathetic words about how I'd rather we spend nowt than spunk £15m on the cart horse.

    any idea why we still have those giant gates and bollards to block off the roads (fitted for the olympics)
    when you come out after the game and you're talking to someone,
    you look a right gowk when the crowd part and you walk into them

    At the end of the day, does it matter where the f*** they are put.

    Will it make a difference to HBA hitting the back of the net or Krul making a great save. NO.
    It's Man CIty tomorrow and then West Ham on Saturday that matters.

    As someone who has gone to SJP for 40 years, I don't give a f*** about the gates.
