£32000 is probably an average to below average wage in this league. Bardsley, although being a tosser is no different from 99% of all footballers. No allegience to the club, it's a job, he's an employee picking up his wages from an employer. PDC has seen through the guy in double quick time. Quite a lot of fans took quite a bit longer but it's pretty much as one now. The guy won't play again for the club so why not just pay his wages up and get rid.

    The new figures show that:
Average Premier League wages have reached £22,353 a week - before lucrative bonuses - or £1.16million a year.
Average Championship earnings are £4,059 a week (£211,068 a year), less than a fifth of players one division above.
In the bottom division, League Two, their weekly pay of £747 is not much more than the national average.
League Two earnings are also 30 times smaller than those in the Premier League.

If thats the fact then fair enough. But I don't believe hardly a single player at Man U, Man C, Arsenal, Totenham, Chelsea. At lest 6/7 players at West Ham, Aston Villa, Fulham,Southampton,Newcastle, Stoke, Sunderland, Everton, 4/5 players at Hull, West Brom, Norwich are on anything less than £30k per week. when you look at the likes of Sess, Catts, Bardsley all above £30k. No way the average wage for a premiership footballer is£22k

This is well out of date and I can only see wages going one way from here.

    Premier League Salaries
    Managers

The salary for Premier League managers is steadily increasing since Chelsea paid £5.4 million a year for Mourinho. Long gone are the days of top Premier League managers getting less than a million a year for managing millionaire players.

In fact David Moyes at Everton on £4 million a year owns more than any of his players.

Current going rate is around £3 million for a top Premier League manager though your smaller clubs and recently promoted ex Championship ones can often be found paying circa £1 million or less for their managers.

    Name Club Annual Salary
    Arsene Wenger Arsenal £6 million
Paul Lambert Aston Villa £2 million
    David Moyes Everton £4 million
    Martin Jol Fulham £1.5 million
Roberto Mancini Manchester City £7.5 million
Alex Ferguson Manchester United £4 million
    Alan Pardew Newcastle £500k
Harry Redknapp Queens Park Rangers £3 million
    Martin O’Neill Sunderland £3 million
    Andres Villas-Boas Tottenham £4 million
Sam Allardyce West Ham £2 million
    Roy Hodgson Engand £3 million
Giovanni Trapattoni Republic Of Ireland £1.5 million

    Club Executives

Whilst Premier League clubs report huge losses and are massively in debt Chief Executives are doing very nicely thank you. Also David Milliband at Sunderland who despite being a lifelong Arsenal supporter earned £125k for 15 days work over a two year period, the annual pay equivalent of £2.1 million, more than some of their players.

    Name Club Annual Salary
    Rick Parry Liverpool £1.5 million
Garry Cook Manchester City £1.8 million
David Gill Manchester United £1.73 million
    David Milliband Sunderland £125k
    Backroom Staff

Since the cull of Mourinho and his Portuguese staff at Chelsea most of these below have now gone but we’ve left their salaries in as a guide given that backroom staff information is hard to come by.

    Name Club Role Annual Salary
Frank Arnesen Chelsea Director of Football £2 million
Steve Clarke Chelsea Assistant Manager £300,000
Baltemar Brito Chelsea First Team Coach £400,000
Rui Faria Chelsea Fitness Coach £600,000
Silvinho Louro Chelsea Goalkeeper Coach £400,000
    Andre Villas Chelsea Scout £250,000
    Rainer Bonhoff Chelsea Scout £100,000
Steve Round Everton Assistant Manager £225,000
Iain Dowie Newcastle United Assistant Manager £300,000
Paul Ferris Newcastle United Head of Player Fitness £300,000
Jeff Vetere Newcastle United Technical Co-ordinator £160,000
Marco Tardelli Republic of Ireland Assistant Manager £500,000
    FA Officials

Not much Sky TV football money is finding its way into FA salaries. Quite poorly paid for such a large multi-million pound industry. In fact the chairman, Lord Triesman, receives less than Chelsea pay their coaches.

    Name Role Annual Salary
    David Bernstein Chairman £300,000
Mike Riley General Manager – Referees £85,000
    ano Premier League Referee £85,000
ano Assistant Referees £600 per match (£12,000 per year)
    Newcastle Players

    Name Annual Salary
    Fabricio Coloccini £4 million
    Dan Gosling £1 million
    Steve Harper £1.25 million
    Tim Krul £3 million
    Steven Taylor £1.75 million
    Cheik Tiote £2 million
    Xisco £2.8 million

    Goalkeepers

If you want to make your fortune don’t be a goalkeeper. The lowest paid position in the team and such is the lack of interest in them that it’s hard to find any information on what their earnings are.

    Name Club Annual Salary
    Lukasz Fabianski Arsenal £2 million
    Wojciech Szczesny Arsenal £2 million
Shay Given Aston Villa £3 million
    Petr Cech Chelsea £5 million
Joe Hart Manchester City £4.5 million
    Craig Gordon Sunderland £2 million
Ben Foster West Brom £1.4 million
Jussi Jauskelainen West Ham £2 million
    Defenders

Your top defenders at the top clubs are getting a decent sum but probably no more than the manager. If your not an international then your only going to pull between £1 and £2 million a year if your lucky.

    Name Club Annual Salary
    Bacary Sagna Arsenal £3.1 million
    Per Mertesacker Arsenal £4 million
Richard Dunne Aston Villa £2.5 million
    Gary Cahill Chelsea £4 million
    Ashley Cole Chelsea £10 million
    John Terry Chelsea £9 million
    Daniel Agger Liverpool £1.75 million
    Jamie Carragher Liverpool £4 million
Nedum Onuoha Manchester City £1 million
Micah Richards Manchester City £2.75 million
Wes Brown Manchester United £3 million
Patrice Evra Manchester United £2.75 million
Rio Ferdinand Manchester United £6 million
Nemanja Vidic Manchester United £4.5 million
Luke Young Queens Park Rangers £1.5 million
    Titus Bramble Sunderland £1.5 million
    Ledley King Tottenham £3 million
    Jonathan Woodgate Tottenham £3.25 million
    Alan Hutton Tottenham £1.6 million
Matthew Upson West Ham £3.25 million

    Midfield

If you’re the right age i.e. late 20’s and can score goals then your in the big money with the strikers. So Gerard and Lampard have been up their on £6 or £7 million a year contracts and Theo Walcott is trying to get up to that amount too. Otherwise your probably earning more than the Manager but not up there with the strikers.

    Name Club Annual Salary
    Theo Walcott Arsenal £4.5 million
    Jack Wilshere Arsenal £4 million
Stiliyan Petrov Aston Villa £3.5 million
    Martin Petrov Bolton £1.75 million
    Yossi Benayoun Chelsea £4 million
    Michael Essien Chelsea £4 million
    Eden Hazard Chelsea £9 million
    Frank Lampard Chelsea £7 million
    Florent Malouda Chelsea £5 million
    Juan Mata Chelsea £3 million
    Mikel Arteta Everton £3.75 million
    Kieran Richardson Fulham £2.25 million
    Oussama Assaidi Liverpool £1 million
    Joe Cole Liverpool £4 million
    Steven Gerard Liverpool £6 million
Gareth Barry Manchester City £6.5 million
Michael Johnson Manchester City £2.75 million
James Milner Manchester City £4 million
Samir Nasri Manchester City £9.25 million
Jack Rodwell Manchester City £2 million
David Silva Manchester City £10 million
Yaya Toure Manchester City £10 million
Michael Carrick Manchester United £3.5 million
Antonio Valencia Manchester United £4 million
Ashley Young Manchester United £6.5 million
    Joey Barton QPR £3 million
    Danny Guthrie Reading £1 million
    Adam Johnson Sunderland £2.6 million
    Gareth Bale Tottenham £4 million
    Scott Parker Tottenham £3.6 million
Kieran Dyer West Ham £4 million
    Strikers

Obviously this is where the big money is to be had. The stars of the team and the ones everyone wants to pay big money for. The highest paid player in the Premier League is currently Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie both earning an incredible £12.5 million a year.

    Name Club Annual Salary
    Nicklas Bendtner Arsenal £2.5 million
    Olivier Geroud Arsenal £3.1 million
Darren Bent Aston Villa £3.5 million
    Demba Ba Chelsea £3.5 million
    Fernando Torres Chelsea £9 million
    Dimitar Berbatov Fulham £2 million
    Andy Carroll Liverpool £4 million
Sergio Aguero Manchester City £10 million
Mario Balotelli Manchester City £4 million
Edin Dzeko Manchester City £7.5 million
Carlos Tevez Manchester City £8.6 million
Wayne Rooney Manchester United £12.5 million
Robin van Persie Manchester United £12.5 million
Loic Remy Queens Park Rangers £3.5 million
Peter Crouch Stoke City £2.5 million
Kenwyne Jones Stoke City £1.5 million
    Louis Saha Sunderland £2 million
    Emmanuel Adebayor Tottenham £9 million
    Jermain Defoe Tottenham £3 million
    Club Salary League

Well as a pretty basic rule then, looking at the table below, league position in the Premier League pretty much reflects how much a club spends on it’s wages, or put another way, how much it spends on its players.
A good guide to how well the club is managed though is how they can out perform in this table.
West Brom you could argue are the best managed club in the Premier League having the 3rd lowest wage bill but finishing a comfortable 11th in the table.
West Ham being the worst managed club having the 12th highest wage bill but finishing bottom.
The latest figures available are for the 2010/11 season shown in order of salaries paid.

Club Total Wages Paid 2010/11 League Position
    Chelsea £189.5m 2
    Manchester City £174m 3
    Manchester United £152.9m 1
    Liverpool £134.8m 6
    Arsenal £124.4m 4
    Tottenham £91.1m 5
    Aston Villa £83.4m 9
    Sunderland £60.9m 10
    Everton £58m 7
    Fulham £57.7m 8
    Bolton £56.1m 14
    West Ham £55.7m 20

The screen shot was taken at 5:53 and the picture was posted 56 mins before that, meaning that the picture was uploaded at 4:57. By that point the game had finished, especially when you take into account the fact Bardsley wouldn't have commented immediately after it was uploaded

    Bardsley's a ****er.

The account has gone. I can't find it. I would be amazed if this is Bardsley. He may have been poor last season but he always seemed to love the fans and, whilst he's taken a barrage from some there's still a lot who ave time for him. I'd be interested to see any proof that it us/was him and not someone (maybe one of our own who dislike him) trying to get him in trouble

The account is 100% his account mate. He probably was told to shut it down by the club.

It's him matey. He posted photos of his family constantly. Had a bit of banter on there with Killgallon, Catts and others. It was definitely him.

Mclean says in the sunday sun a section of the Sunderland supporters started hassling him for not wearing the poppy and that is why he left!, not because of football but I reckon it was because he was not performing last season. But it has started this season with O Shea etc so where will it end.

He is going to go from one time supporters player of the year, to one of the most hated players ever to pull on the shirt, if this turns out to be correct..
