How is it that we cannot take a ****ing set-piece?!

Yesterday we had 6 corners and although I didn't see the game I followed via twitter and it seemed every corner and every free-kick in a decent position was wasted. Fulham had ONE corner which ultimately lead to us losing the game.

We really need to start working on these imo. Being good with set pieces will win you so many games. Especially when teams play like Fulham did and make it really difficult to score from open play.

Hopefully the creative cm we bring in can take a decent corner!

McGregor has had a very topsy-turvy half!

Gave away a penalty then saved it

Made a lovely save vs Lampard then let in a dodgy free-kick

Then another good save at the end of the half

Good to see the new technology in use

Disagree about the tech. Bad idea IMO. No goals were given or not given incorrectly last season in the premier league were they? I remember a few borderline ones but linesman got them right every time from what I remember. Millions wasted for me. Loads of goals were incorrectly ruled out or allowed due to incorrect off sides so why isn't that as important?

Think it was shared between him Johnson and Giacc

    Whatever happened to Seb's free-kicks? :(

Can't remember any specific incidents but I'm pretty sure there were some goals incorrectly ruled out

That's a good shout about offsides though, not sure why exactly we aren't using tv replays at the very least.. if it's clearly wrong overturn the decision if it's too close to tell then the decision can stay.

He was quite literally on a par with Beckham where set pieces were concerned. It's just bizarre.

I remember whenever we had a free-kick within 30 yards of the goal I fancied Seb to score. Nowadays it's normally Gardner who takes it and he just balloons it over the bar with only about 1 in 20 flying in the net, and the rare occassion when Seb takes one it goes straight into the wall

That day seems long gone for some strange reason!

I'd like Jozy on them after seeing his belter for the US the other night.

Which begs the question: What's the point of Seb Larson? If he is no longer providing a threat from set piece ball and is having to be shoehorned into a CM role for which he is not suited, then what exactly does he bring to the side?
