Morning all, weather as usual, sunny and warm. I get quite hopeful when the meteo forecast that we might see a shower overnight, but it seems to just pass us by. Of to monthly dinner with my Forest friend. Suspect that he will be full of himself. Perhaps I can take the line that we are the big two in the Championship. Somehow I cannot see any team running away with the title this season.
Morning all from a brightening bandit country - off to #1 sons place for a BBQ this afternoon, will be nice to not have to cook for once! Did anyone see BT Sport yesterday as the results were announced? I Sky +'d it and watched it last night. They missed the Watford result and realised and made a comment about it after - when Jake Humphries turned around to the guy behind and asked him if he was a Watford supporter, he laughed because Little Miss W_Y was sitting next to him - you could see her every now and again during the show. As a researcher, she is in the shadows, but you can still see her working away on her lap-top.
Afternoon all, back from Sunday dinner and Forest friend was so shocked at where they are he didn't crow at all. Suggested that he will be able to judge them after they have played away to Reading. One of our female friends had a knee replacement six weeks ago and today was the first time she had the high heels out. To be honest you wouldn't have known that she had had anything done. Thought that might give you some encouragement BB. Also another musician who was with us finds that he gets strange intermittent noises in his earphones when he is recording on certain channels. He believes that it is something in the house interfering, but has not yet been able to track it down. Beyond my understanding, but I wonder if 3CR transmit in a different way to others?
Six weeks - wow! My surgeon says three months before I'll be able to get the high heels on again She may possibly have had a half-knee replacement, which I assume means either the top part or the bottom part only - I'm having both replaced. I'm still puzzled over the strange noises on Watford Player - and I really don't know who to ask as no-one else is experiencing them. They don't occur when the broadcast is coming direct from the studio, nor from the opposition commentary - only from JM's commentary. His commentary is regularly drowned out by a sudden loud crowd noise (always the same one too!) and in between those there is the sound of a ref's whistle being blown too - flipping annoying really. If I can't find a live stream for the Forest game next week, I'll have to try listening on my smartphone to see if that makes any difference.
Afternoon all Managed some gardening in between the showers this afternoon. Mrs H is slow roasting lamb in lager (a la Rick Stein I believe) so will have to investigate the red wine stocks shortly. Getting used to the new glasses now...Mrs H said the lawn was mowed "in almost straight lines".
