From what I can gather, he drifted in and out, and did well in spells. It wasn't really a game for him to showcase himself though, to be fair.
Hi Abu. Welcome. Taarabt like bidders said drifted in and out of the game but WOW when he tried something and it came off I was impressed. Hopefully he will get use to the players around him and improve and be consistent.
I think he was pretty anonymous generally, but as he's lacking fitness I doubt he would have played the whole game if it hadn't been for injuries. As he gets fitter and more used to the players around him, he may come good - jury still out for me.
He rarely does his best stuff away from home to be fair. Good to hear he showed a few flashes though. Was he played wide or 'in the hole'?
I am also a little surprised. However, I think the plan was to give him 60 minutes or so rather than the full 90. Unfortunately Richardson and Stek scuppered that plan. I saw enough from Taarabt to be a little excited to see him at home against a mid/lower-table team though.
I really hope so. Taarabt is an incredible talent but he really needs to step up to the plate and start performing on a consistent basis in the Premiership. Hopefully Jol can get his mind (and attitude) right. It would be a shame if he doesn't fulfill his undoubted potential.
