26-year-old De Ceglie, who has spent his entire career with the Italian champions (barring one year on loan at Siena), has actually been reported in the Italian press as agreeing terms with Sunderland on a contract worth €2m net per season and is just waiting for the two clubs to agree a transfer fee. Whether the transfer is as far along as that remains to be seen but the player is Sunderland's primary left back target at the moment and the club will hope to have him on board by the time we play Southampton next week.
it was meant to say cover for those positions, bringing in full backs with gards and colback retained would give us a alot of strength in depth imo
Ah yeah. Colback and Gards will be seen an the cover options for the full back positions. Could always be brought into the middle as well if needed.
Just now @FabRomano21 There are talks between Juventus and Sunderland for Paolo De Ceglie. But is not done deal, right now ‪#‎SAFC‬
Had we had a proper, talented cm alongside Cabral yesterday (no offence to Seb he's just not a cm) we would have tonked Fulham. Jozy looks very good. Can't wait till Fletcher gets back
7 minutes ago De Ceglie expected to sign a 3-year contract at Sunderland for a fee of around €4m.
