ID gained win % of 40% at his times with coventry and with palace.
Pb had 33% at his best - with us

In context, it was almost the same attendance as the 'bumper' crowd at the crucial local derby game.

I originally said that I rated ID as a manager and that he should have been given more time.
By the time he got to us, the damage from PB'd already been done.
That is why he should've been given more time, to undo some of the PB effect.

I think you are right about Andy Dawson.I do not get the Deano/Barmby legend stuff. They both moved back to Hull when it suited them and they were still paid a lot more than me or my missus.I am glad for their contributions when they were back but neither were at the peak of their powers. They both chose to be elsewhere at that time(I do not blame them)
As to City fans not being the full shilling when it comes to gratitude I think we can allude to the appalling slagging off of Mr A -without his decisions and commitment we would not be playing Chelsea today or probably in the rest of my lifetime.I would like to go on record as saying up to this point Mr Allem has been the biggest hero we have ever had.I do not know what is round the corner but I am not going to ruin this great day by listening to the doom and gloomers and conspiracy theorists

well think about it, fans would have gone to show their appreciation, ticket price is the only thing that kept most away - so lower prices = higher attendances. <steam> DUH!

The money from the tickets was going to charity, for ****s sake!

    <doh>

Even with lower prices, there would've been around the same audience.

The tickets were £10, often mooted as a "fair price" for football.

    What price would you recommend?

I get what you are saying about Deano/Barmby, they did leave at the peak of their talents and returned when they were on the slide. Maybe it wasnt their fault that they were sold (financial reasons etc), but it was still disappointing for them to return after their peak had passed.
As for the rest of that pargraph I agree.

I do get the Deano/Barmby stuff but without Frazier Campbell's contribution those two would not have received their cult status.

I agree with your point about Allam. The thread title says it all really.

I did not go because of the cost. I would of gone if it was free. It was irrelevant who ended up with the cash. In my case, charity begins at home.

Even with the tough competition you've provided in the past two weeks, this has to be the dumbest post you have ever written.

    He is a hero.

Which is what makes the whole name change thing even more depressing.

I don't agree with tbe name change, but I certainly don't agree with people portraying Allam as the devil. He's anything but.

    Exactly.

Campaign against the Allams - No.
Campaign against "Hull City Tigers/Hull Tigers" - Yes.

At the end of the day, the Allams are only acting with what they believe is beneficial to the Club and the City. It's just a case of letting them know that the people of Hull don't want it to happen. Assem Allam isn't very good at communicating with the Media due to his English skills and words/phrases get misconstrued.

The Allams are clearly attempting to lure in Middle-Eastern investment to sell the Club.
