In every photo I see of Lovren he seems to be delighted to be here, I really hope this move works for him long-term. He definitely started the right way!
He was superb yesterday. Also, he seems a character. Very strong leader at the back and he went mental when we scored. Ran from the half-way line to jump into the celebrations and geeing the fans up too.

They were discussing this on the Sunday Supplement on Sky...saying that the big clubs with CL pretensions have flashy academies but don't seem able/willing to do what Southampton have done.
Lovren was great and such an upgrade for us. Maybe Cortese were right when he said that signing him was the real coup? I think he just need to find his confidence to be the player he looked to be a few years ago. It was only last season that was disappointing for him imo. And judging by yesterday it seems that his confidence is coming back to him...
I have to say I filled my pants when he slid in for that tackle inside the penalty area, but you won't see a more perfectly timed tackle.

Yesterday/that video summed up a lot of what is great about this club. Together as one, all the players celebrating together with the fans who were fantastic all game. Well done to everyone who went yesterday
