About as quick as a few have turned on the Allams I'd say. As I've said in other threads, there seems a pathological need for people to moan, complain and belittle everything. They have a deep need to see conspiracy and always expect the worst of anyone and everything. Its sad.
Brown didn't always get things right but what he achieved here should never be forgotten and without him doing what he did I doubt we'd be walking out at the bridge today. He is quite rightly a legend of this football club, along with the likes of Ash, Daws, Bo, Barmby, Deano and Elliott. I think the majority of fans are appreciative of what these guys achieved.
that's funny, I was just thinking the same thing........ maybe you will change your tune after we beat chelski in a little over 4 1/2 hours
Brown wasn't a great manager IMO, he was an unbelievably lucky manager. He was also responsible for his own downfall, and could not see that he was courted by the media for light-entertainment purposes rather than as a serious pundit. Let's face it, his half-time dressing down and karaoke shenanigans made us far bigging laughing stocks than the silly name change ever could.
Brown is the past, Brucie is the future, I am grateful for most of what he did in the past, it is true that he laid the foundations for Brucie to come here. I am a bit disappointed that we got rid when we did - we should have got shot when we got rid of Duffman... unlike most on here I rate ID as a manager and I think he could have kept us up if he was given a little more time.
Your post lost all credibility right there. The fact that Iain Dowie is now a Match-Reporter on SkySportsNews says it all really.
um a bit much? OK scrub that about ID... I meant he was an improvement on what we had................. better?
Phil Brown is the benchmark for Hull City managers. Still no other reached that height, although SB will this season all being well if we finish 16th or above.
£10 (plus transport etc) is a lot of money when there is a recession on. I have had to give my pass up this season (due to less hours at work). Hopefully, I will get to see a few games. Dawson was a great servant for City and the fact he donated the money to charity tells you everything about the man. However, lets not forget the fortune they earn nowadays compared to say someone like Ian Mckechnie who earned bugger all. Please stop this everything revolves around City ****e. I am a fan (like you) but in my case I have other priorities as well (the heath and happiness of my family).
