Hi folks, just stopping by to say well done for an 'efficient' win at the Liberty. I say 'efficient' because that is what a lot of the media folk say yet I have no idea what that is supposed to be mean. Your players put in a good performance and RvP is a great player, I wouldn't be surprised to see him score 30 goals for your club in the Premier League alone this season. As far as lessons go on how to score then today was a masterclass and that includes Wellbecks first goal... so many times we see players not running through to the goal line hoping the ball gets through. He did, and it paid off, a sign on someone who expects the best from his team mates and will reward their efforts to make passes into those areas.

My personal opinion is that I feel a bit aggrieved by the scoreline as thought we deserved a little more but at the end of the day, not only did United take their chances but they took them in style. Van Persie's goals were simply sublime and rank up their with the wondergoals scored by Messi and Ronaldo, and Wellbecks second was pure class by the way it seemed to be the natural choice for him to attempt.

Good luck for the rest of the season, I am just glad we are not facing RvP every game! <laugh>

Thanks Project, nice to see a supporter of football instead of the usual bitterness. I think you should finish in the top 10 this season and maybe with a little luck the top 6.

These things happen I suppose, and I don't know if I am breaking your board rules but here is a link to a torrent I have just uploaded, it is the match from yesterday. I am not particularly interested (for ovbious reasons lol) and would have normally deleted it but I know you guys have fans who may want to keep a video of it as it is Moyes first game in charge, and thus a memory to cherish.

I have a 19Mbps upload and will keep my PC on for a couple of days so others can take over with seeding.

I thought you were quite hard done by too. A scoreline of 2-1 or 3-2 to Utd would have been a fair reflection of the game imo. But like you say it was just quality of finishing - we converted 1/4 of our chances which was always going to make for a big scoreline. If you guys keep playing like you did then you'll do fine this season, once Bony and M start to develop a better understanding. I reckon (hope) you'll take points of any other team in the league with a performance like yesterday.

Who said it was a disadvantage to play Swansea away first game? ;)

Hmmmm....well unless I am informed otherwise I'll just assume you have the broadcast rights to the game ;)
