yepp those little difference in quality at both ends made all the difference wish you good luck next matches .. you had a great match and at the end it was a harsh result given how well you played pushing us back for most of the game .. but sure your team showed enough quality attacking wise not sure about the defending though
Definitely a great result for us. We couldn't win at Swansea last season and they're probably a better team now. The new manager and his committed players will be relieved to be up and running when the vast majority of pundits and opposition fans were hoping for an opening game defeat. Let's be honest, even a draw would have left United with early season nerves about the next game. As it is they will be looking forward to a rocking OT.
maybe, pundits and the bookies are very reactionary and fickle. United should not understate Fergies loss, he was immense, just the same as Jose's acquisition should be for us. For my money there will not be too big a gap between us this year.it depends on how City fare though. I would still bet on 1. City 2. Chelsea 3. United ,tho
I would like to say, its been a pleasure....but it seems you have hardly responded to any of our posts. Maybe we should just WUM. Well played anyhow, even if your not606ers do give the impression you think you are "above" debating with us.
Fair comment. Unfortunately you're more likely to see posts from Chelsea fans at the minute. It's been that way since Fergie retired.
not really, we replied back here, unless you refer to match thread in your section good luck in your next matches, you had great match today and put us under lots of pressure for most of the match
No complaints from me. A 4-1 lesson by the Champions was hard to take, but lets hope the Swans learn from this one.
in another note, any comments regarding rooney not celebrating with the rest of the team ? please log in to view this image
Some observations from the match: To be honest I expected a very hard match. Not only because Swansea is usually a tough game for us but because the preseason matches were not that good. United's play impressed me. They played with a determination more reminiscent of the second half of the season never mind the first match. Although this is one match, this is positive and shows at least that the players are playing for DM. The other thing too is that welbeck could well lessen the impact of fat Roon's absence. Still the scouser should NOT be sold to the plastic Chavs as he could well be their missing link...DM would never recover from that and I suspect nor would the fans forgive him or the glazers ..
It's pathetic. If my 7 year old lad behaved like that he'd get a talking to. In some ways though he's doing us a favour. The theory seems to be that there is unrest in the United dressing room, that picture suggest otherwsie. That's a squad United apart from one player.
Worrying! The scouser is determined to leave. Lets hope we are determined to keep him and let him come on as substitute or even rot in the reserves if necessary. This would be £40-50 million well spent
I think a lot of your fans have been too harsh on your team. Obviously not the result you were hoping for, but there was enough promise in the overall play to be confident that you'll have a good season. We're just extremely well practiced at clinically getting the result in tough games like that (something i'm very happy to see continuing post-Fergie)
It's rare that I praise Liverpool, and I doubt you ever have Christian!, but we should follow their lead and force the twat to stay. He should play out his contract and leave in 2 years. He'll be finished by then so we'll have got his best years. He's not going to refuse to play as he wants to make an impact at an international competition which he's failed to do since Euro2004. In my opinion his agent has ****ed this one up spectacularly.
spot on .. it will not be his first time to do a U turn tbh .. am just getting used to Rooney doing so tbh.. he just need to sort out his issue .. then he will be back firing up his cylinders again
If that celebration is the goal I'm thinking of didn't Rooney get a knock in the build up and was nursing it during the celebrations and someone is using this pic to create something out if nothing? (If this is welbecks 2nd)
I make out 6 players celebrating, so that makes 5 players that are not guess we have a really unhappy squad
Ah! I understand only too much how a 'siege mentality' can change a forum. Don't let the bastards get you down. See you in a few months
