McNumpty on the BBC site is predicting we will finish behind them and out of the top 4 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23001874, just as he has every season for the last 14 years.

Every pundit is predicting that Chelsea will win, but the majority pick of the pundits hasn't been a very reliable guide to the winners at all in the last 10 years. It is almost the kiss of death.

At least he isn't picking Liverpool to beat us again.

Perhaps that's the kiss of death <laugh>, I think the last few years most pundits have still put us top 4!!! Now most this season have put 6th. Although the Metro have put us 5th, with Spurs 6th :/!

Yeah, exactly, usually at our expense!

I don't know but I feel this year in particular, people are writing us off a bit too quickly. We brushed off Man City last week pretty comfortably, and although it was only pre-season, it just seems to be ignored. Giroud has been on fire and so has Walcott.

Of course we need numbers, but if I were a Man City fan, if Arsenal are so crap this year, I would be pretty worried at how easily we carved them open last week-end and how easily we kept them out. You could have driven a bus through their defence when Ramsey scored and Clichy looked geriatric at times. I don't know how "Expert" Opinion has them, "Obviously" challenging and then us equally obviously, not challenging.

All seems a bit nutty to me.

I noticed that HIAG had us down to finish 6th if we hadn't signed anybody by the time the season started.
He also had the Spuds down to finish 3rd or 4th

    <whistle>

HIAG is a mong. A sandy cracked mong that went to an imaginary school in N17. How the **** someone who pretends to be a solicitor thinks he can get away with claiming to have gone to a school that has never existed is hilarious tbh.

Almost as funny as his footy predictions :p

I think even the spuds have finally woken up to the fact that he is not6O6's village idiot, who makes a laughing stock of spud fans with his embarrassing posts. He was caught slagging of his fellow fans the other day on his Luis Suarez thread because they didn't find his brand of witless buffoonery funny. What a tosser <laugh>

He thinks this squad is good enough??.. It's a shame but I think we are watching the painful demise of a man too stuck in his ways to adapt to the modern times.

You have to be assertive in the transfer market. Hunting for last minute bargains is not a strategy for title contenders.

The blind-faithful will just blame this one on the ref. They'll forget how **** we played.

If the failure to sign more players is down to Gazidis as I think it is then he should be sacked immediately.

If it is down to Wenger then it is him who should go.

    Its as simple as that.

Purely based on play a draw was about right. The ref was ****ing awful with his decisions and we should have had a penalty when Wilshere was held back by two players near the end and backing into a player jumping for a header without challenging for the ball is clearly defined as dangerous play so Delph should have been off and others could (should) have been sent off for repeated fouls and two yellows for Villa.

Every year people seem to write Wenger off (Can't believe it has started already) then you guys go and win about 6 games in a row and make the critics look silly

Well done Arsene, look at what you've done. Yes, we need quality but I'd be happy with good squad players to replace the deadwood that was shifted, instead we will be raiding the under 18's and reserves FFS.

Has AW reached the end of the road with us? Is he the right man to take us forward? I really do not know. However if he were to leave or be pushed now, I will not lose sleep over it. What really puzzles me is how someone allegedly intelligent as him, cannot spot our deficiencies. On the other hand I feel, he sees them, surely he must do, otherwise he is mad!

Then again I also must be mad, despite saying end of last season, I was not going to renew my season ticket, I still gave those clowns my hard earned cash! My decision not renew was made easy with my redundancy situation, fair enough I got another job 2days after my redundancy, but I had already made my mind up. I don't know what possessed me to call the ticket line last week to enquire, I guess I was hoping the door will be firmly shut in my face :). Well my seat was still available and would miss 2 games Villa and Spuds as they have already been sold....... Suffice to say I renewed, knew then it was daft thing to do....

I think it is the loyalty of fans that the club preys upon, with muppets like myself why change direction? I really should have given all that money to charity, I think I will feel much better!

Making dramatic comebacks is useful when you need them, but the point was that we intend to move forward and never get into those positions in the first place. If we have that kind of a start to a season again it won't fit with the narrative they have set out themselves, which is we now have no more excuses and are able to compete for the title.
