Not sure about the quality at the back.... Think it was more a case of Swansea not taking their chances. we played our way into plenty of trouble today and with no disrespect to Swansea I think a better team could've taken those chances.

A good win but it definitely flattered us. RVP and Wellbecks 2nd goals were pure class

    Respect due

Champs for a reason...any chance we can have RVP on loan?

World class finishing from him and DW was the BIG diffetence. Still think we played well though (strangely). Gutted we couldnt get Bony M combo from the beginning.
Looking forward to the return leg.

Good luck with your defence of the title :)

So come on David Moyes, play like Fergie's boys, we go wild, wild, wild (to the tune of Cum On Feel The Noize by Slade.

I'm a critic of Welbeck but the finish for his second goal was sublime. If Messi had done that it would be shown on a loop. I guess the difference is Messi does something like that in the vast majority of games, Welbeck is more of a once a season man! Still, great goal, maybe this will be his breakthrough season as long as he doesn't become angry and confused.

I will never write Man Utd off but please, come on. You win your first game of the season and you are champions again?!
Man Utd will challenge all the way with this squad though for sure. Until it breaks down and Moyes is unable to sign world class replacements because...well...he is David Moyes.
(Or David Who? as he is referred to outside the UK)

The lad got a brace, did well for the 2nd, Swans were busy but ineffective.

As for the Messi comment<laugh> Even amateurs can score a good goal now and then, Messi does it week in week out so on that bit you are talking out your arse. he only got 75 goals last season compared to Welbeck's ? 2 ? <laugh>

Moyes out! United only won by 4-1 ! The defence let a goal in and therefore real crap. Poor poor manager. Like the chavs have been wishing and predicting all summer, United has no chance of winning the title ...

Anyone saying United have no chance is a bell end imo.
United, with this squad, will ALWAYS have a chance, no matter their manager.
United's "decline" if they are to have one under Moyes, wouldnt be immediate anyway, whilst they still have Fergies squad and mentality, they will more or less pick up where they left off imo.
It will be Moyes' ability to build another squad that can challenge in 2 years or so that United's future will hinge on.

Swans fan, was sat at the end we scored, great win today for you lot, you showed why you're the best team in the land, i don't ever see City or Chelsea doing that to us here. I didnt feel there was much in the game tbh, you were just utterly ruthless and that was even after Robin let us off one early in the second half.

Ridiculous to write United off in the way some idiots have and winning a big game (where you can easily drop 2 points as you did last season) by such a wide margin shows United haven't lost their sheer brutality and clinical ability to put teams away in the blink of an eye.

Your fans were great too, we're used to teams rocking up with as many as 400 on a good day and other than one fat **** with a black lacoste polo shirt in the harvester before kick off spouting his mouth, your fans were a credit as they were when we came up in May.

Good luck and hats off, we cant feel too bad about that, its Man United, thats what they do!

Is that why the press and so called pundits have written United off for the title? The Maureen factor must have been overestimated? <whistle> I bet the odds are changing at this very moment...

Great game today and the difference was the finishing - it is why you are champions and we are a long way off! Was a joy to watch your forwards interchange at times. We had some great passages of play but the two goals in quick succession killed the game of effectively.

Was pleased with our performance but not our finishing but I think there are plenty of goals in this team for the season ahead. Am disappointed with the result but thoroughly enjoyed the match and must compliment your fans - they were immense!

Think you showed us where we need to improve and I'm sure we will.

Good luck for the rest of the season.
