Belgium is a strange place! And I think I'm still a little traumatised by the sudden realisation that I would have to order my drive-through burger in French! Matty didn't really do too much on QoS, it's gone downhill a little since I used to watch it regularly years ago. He didn't come off like an annoying prat like either of the captains though!
That's gone right over my head mate!!! The only bit of French I know is: Sont des mots qui vont tres bien ensemble, and I only know that because it's in a Beatles song. I think roughly translated it means, "these are words that go together well."
Je n'en parle que un petit peu, et mon Francais ecrit est meilleur que on Francais parlé. J'essai de l'améliorer, mais c'est pas facile. Still better than my Dutch though, that's the next project, then maybe German and Spanish. The joys of being unemployed!

I'm hardly multilingual, my French isn't too bad, but it's getting better. The most I can do in Dutch is sweet-talk a girl, and ask for food! My Irish is alright, but nothing special. It's not the most useful of languages to learn, since hardly anyone speaks it, not even in Ireland! The whole language thing is mainly a thing to keep me busy until my job starts in September, then I can go back to being a normal, culturally ignorant Anglophone like I was before!
I just typed that into Google Translate and it came up with this: "Beautiful Girls! You are very beautiful, I kiss ation consequent." Interesting chat up line peadar
Google translate is such a smoothie It means something more along the lines of "Hey sexy, you've very beautiful, can I have a kiss?" I can't say I've ever used it in anger though!
