That last 15 minutes was brutal. Hate watching us try and defend a one goal lead. Haven't even seen anything after the pen was given. Turned it off in a rage.

Same old Liverpool though, not putting games out of sight, would have been typical of you to lead almost whole game and dominate then drop points in the last minute to a penalty. Well done
Well, that was close! Thought Lucas had an excellent game. Coutinho, Studge, Aspas and Toure all player well too. We look so much more creative up top with Aspas instead of Downing but lacked width at times. Happy with the win and great confidence booster for Mig after a shaky start.
I think I shat myself at least 3 times.. If Stoke can get a couple of decent strikers in they'll be good outfit this season.
Mignolet made 3 saves he had absolutely no right to make (including the penalty). Very astute business by Brendan, excellent keeper. Aspas looks like Kuyt with a first touch. Never stopped running today and made a number of nice little turns and passes. Lucas back to his best. Stoke couldn't even try and get started, felt like we were playing 3 Lucas Leivas at one point. Agger and Toure looked solid, liked Toure's marauding run near the end! Looks like he could get a few goals too this season. Johnson looked very good today. Sturridge brilliant. Great game to start the season, hopefully our shakiness at set pieces was more due to the fact that Stoke were our opponents. Needs to improve but I've got a lot of faith in this team
Good football, but we need to put the ball away. Absolutely not complaining, as I could watch this all day....BUT, we look like statues at the back at set-pieces. Mignolet is gonna have to come out and catch/punch when he has the opportunity.
Very happy with the result and performance. Last season this would have been a draw, with us chasing the game to equalize. So many positives: Great pressure when not in possession Good link up play from front 3, very fluid Lucas looks very much back to his best Migs very good shot stopper Aspas looked very sharp We could have had 3 or 4 Defence stood up to a team whos whole game revolves around set piece play. artois tasted lovely today WE WON
He has a hell of a lot more flair than Kuyt. He can beat a man and has some tricks as well. Thought Toure was a beast at CB today though. Brilliant in the air and on the floor
mignolet should be given a medal for that save. nice to get a bit of luck our way for once ps robert huth is a dirty ****. someone needs to take him out the back and shoot him
