First rule of being a professional footballer, not ever read a forum hearing pricks like me rave and rant would kill your confidence

And fans can use forums for supporting. The constant stream.of negativity isn't that. The constant stream.of negativity can affect players and the atmosphere in the stadium. Forums can affect fans say A B C it is all ****e enough that can and does carry over into a stadium. Fans have managed to do the opposite to affect support in.a positive manner using forums e.g open the EE, Johnson said, events on matchday they came from websites. Fans should sooner have forums doing that.

Supporters forums being positive, and actively doing things go promote that in some way should be their basis.

If their role is just to preach negativity what is the point? The outcome is?

Football fan forums have a method of operation.

    1/ NEVER commit to anything.
    2/ NEVER do anything.
3/ Slag off anyone, anything and EVERYTHING.

Thats the nature of human beings I'm afraid.!!

It is better done here than in the ground.. it has been this way since I can remember (70's) some are positive, some aren't, some are sometimes positive and sometimes negative. it aint gonna change anytime soon..

What I would say is the level of negativity on here 2 games in to the season is shocking at the moment! but then as I said. This time last year Delboy was the saviour who was gonna take us to the prem. I'm sure some of our fans are ****in bi-polar..

Great in theory, but the players are already connected to the fans via Twitter and the like. I'm willing to bet that Fontaine, or at least his agent, has a Google Alert on his name, and they read through the vast majority of what news outlets say about them. They'll probably ignore forums and blogs, but I think it's now naive to suggest that players can ignore the press, especially when the lines between news and user-generated content become more and more blurred.

Main topic today on otib on harewood is a bit weird in abad way. Forums can cost a lot of money to run. For that money they could attempt to make an impact. Millions of words = nothing really. It's a waste when you think about it.

I agree forums should be used for things beyond whining. I am follower though but I do try to put a score here and there into things, buy tickets for the odd event.

Italy was fantastic, just got back. If you have never been there I can recommend it. Not spoilt by the Brits so no proper English breakfast signs everywhere. Totally relaxing holiday only critism of it was the heat, they are in a heat wave at the moment and it was too hot not going below 22 during the night upto 40 plus in the day.

Trust me mate, I like the heat the Mrs is calm and just sunbathes but when she says it's hotter than when she went to Dubai. It wasn't your normal Mediterean heat either I was sweating like Gas does on a drugs raid.
Seems weird complaining about the heat but I just sat in the shade drank Peroni and Coffee so I was happy.

Where we went Sorentto the beaches are expensive and Shingle, but our hotel which was all inclusive owned a small section probably 30 metres by 60 but only 85 rooms so always space on there.
We was a little bit outside Sorentto so we had a free shuttle bus into it.
We didn't do the Amalfi Drive because the Mrs is petrified of heights and as Shiny will back me up the driving around there is short of ****ing petrifying. We went up Mt Vesuvius (Volcano that took out Pompei) which scared the life out my Mrs going round the bends in a coach with a few inches (probably feet but felt like inches) to spare dropping down the valleys. Got close to the top but she couldn't walk the final 250 metres to the top because of her knee but me and the daughter walked it **** me it was hard but worth it looking into the Volcano, with its steaming rocks. Apparently it's due a big eruption and they recently put dynamite into it to try and release some of the pressure. When it's due the scientist can give upto a months notice to evacuate.
The food was out of this world, never saw a Speghetti Bolognese anywhere so wondering if that is just an English version of Italian food or it's just served in different regions.
Would definitely go back like a shot.
The Mrs has made me promise to take her to Rome for a weekend as we could of done a day but the reps advised us that Rome deserves a lot more than a few hours so it wasn't worth it.
