don't see any truth in that , I think it's well documented were pretty much done now with forwards and don't think any club would pay even half that for Kevin Doyle , it seems we are after midfielders only and putting our efforts into huddlestone and Livermore .
Any news on potential signings for Leicester must admit I thought you would of strengthened abit and given it a good push this season to try and build on what you have .

To be honest I hadn't even heard of the Doyle thing, and doesn't really make sense. That was just the first news article that came up when I googled it.

Well we have just signed Ignasi Miquel on loan from Arsenal, young CB who can also play LB. We were rumoured to also be in for Yennaris from them, but no further developments on that.

Also rumours of a loan move for Everton's Shane Duffy, but that's gone a bit quiet too.

If anything does happen, it will be a loan (or a free transfer!). With FFP coming in we are now fully feeling the effects of the Sven debacle, and have spent most of the summer trying to offload before we buy. Of course we would have liked some more additions, but hey, such is life...

... my understanding is that he was worried about a potential clash of hair colour with tiger stripes ... and as he was unwilling to consider hair dye the deal collapsed ... wouldn't worry if I were you ...why sign a striker who doesn't score goals??

Kermogant also gave away the free kick that Cardiff scored from in the 1st leg

... that Weale should have saved comfortably if he wasn't perhaps the only person in the stadium who didn't know where Whittingham was going to put it ...

Kermorgant was competing ... and did more in his second half cameo than Waggy had done all game ...

It was an odd one. The papers were all covering it a couple of days ago, but when you looked at the bookies they had him odds on to join someone else, and weren't even offering odds for us signing him. We were just never in it. If all the other clubs had been long odds I could see it being that they'd suspended betting on him signing for us, but not when someone else was odds on.

    When did that happen?

Bruce said there was nothing in that rumor at all. Even you dont really think we would sign Doyle do you?

No worries ... but don't leave out that Alex Bruce needlessly gave away a penalty during the second leg that allowed Cardiff to level or that Waggy also missed in the penalty shoot-out ... as I said, IMHO, it was grossly unfair for some of our fans to single out Kermorgant as the sole reason for losing that semi - frankly, the manager got his tactics completely wrong in the first leg which then gave us an uphill mountain in the second.

    Players make mistakes on penalties.

    The may slip over
    Miss the target
    Take a weak penalty
Penalty saved by a good save.

All of the above a far more forgivable than what Kermogant did

He may not be the sole reason for us not winning the playoff but certainly was the major PLAYER that cost us.

Depends what you class as a "Premier League player".

He's playing for a team in the PL, yes. How much will he actually play?

Besides, many an average Championship player gets some PL time under their belt after a promotion.

Damien Delaney, and did Junior Lewis play in the PL as well? Ade Akinbadbuy must have been a PL player for you as well, you didn't pay that much in the Championship surely?
