Does anyone know, with 100% certainty, if one can park in the residential bays around the ground with a disabled badge? Many thanks. Especially keen to hear if anyone actually does it.
My mate had his car smashed up after a night game when he parked on the White City Estate. He said that there were seven or eight other cars that had been done too. 100% sure you can use a disabled badge when parking on the estate. We use my mates Nan's badge and saves us a lot over the season We've parked there as long as I've gone 20+ years and never had a problem
Been parking on the White City estate for years without a problem. But it's the same with any street parking in a city. Always a risk. Parked once in Bournemouth and returned to the sight of broken glass - never a good sign. So you're right to be cautious.
Thanks Mate. The reason I am nervous is my wife parked near Charing Cross Hospital as per the rules in the link 9's posted above. Needless to say she got a ticket and just cannot see why. As to vandalism, my car is nearly 20 yrs old so less likely than a newer one to be vandalised I suspect. I will have to do it as taking my mate who is proper crocked at moment with bone infections after cancer treatment etc.
Fair enough mate. If you want to pay then there is parking on meters just around the corner from the ground in Bloemfontein Road. Will be about a tenner but I've never had a problem there and it's as close as the estate if you get there early enough.
I once parked in Turin and came back to find my car had been replaced by a replica Parking is a risk but people with crutches more important IMO
