So you think the financial benefits of the name change will be apparent in a year?

And what makes you think you know more than me? Or the Allams?

Yes, I suspect there will be some evidence within a year.

By the way you and they think. You still didn't answer my question "So, because somebody has money it means they know more than you?"

Are you able to answer this question?

"Have you seen their latest accounts?"

If I want a marine diesel genny, I'll get in touch with the folks in Melton.

If I want to speak to someone who understands how to run a football club, I'll be avoiding Melton like the plague.

No, and I haven't looked at yours either Peter, should I be comparing them?

Peter, we are obviously not going to persuade each other and I see no point in allowing this to degenerate (see what I did there?) into a slanging match, so why don't we call it a draw and see what happens in the next few weeks?

So how can you say: "For the record the figures from Allam Marine ... suggest that if he's not a visionary he does at least seem to be getting something right."

    You can't see my accounts.

How can it be a draw when you don't seem to be talking sense - see 211.

This is typical of the pro-change camp. TygerTyger gushes about the results for the Allam's business and then admits he hasn't seen them.

For the record, in 2012 their pre-tax profits halved from 2011 profits.

TygerTyger is typical of the people that assume that because somebody has a big business they must be good at every business. That might suit their deferential personality but in no way is there any logic in it.

I asked him what his job was as well, in an attempt to judge his business experience, but he avoided that question, too.

I was aware of their performance, I did not look at the accounts with any real interest this year.

Peter is typical of the know all brigade. He claims to be an accountant but is in fact a part qualified book keeper who works as a one man band with his unqualified wife..

He can give no good reason to argue with the name change but simply resorts to personal attacks when asked what his objections are. He is a sad old man who has so few clients that he can afford to be on here from dawn to dusk whining and whinging about matters way beyond his control. He threatens all sorts of action but rarely takes any.

If he does write to the football authorities his semi literate letter will be dispatched to the bin marked random nutters.

He is bitter about anyone who does better than himself and likes to feel this is because of luck, rather than the reality which is that they are high achievers and he never was and never will be. He started at Ernst and Young but couldn't hack it and left when other, younger, more able and harder working employees overtook him.

I won't give him any personal information because I don't want his attention.

And he'll splutter in outrage when the Allams do change the name, but no one will listen to him.

But apart from that and one or two other matters he's harmless.

Sorry but are we all banging our head against a brick wall. Please please tell me how removing AFC is going to bring investment into the club. Maybe like other posters have said Mr Allam could enlighten us a bit more about how this is going to happen.

    Sensible answers only please.

I know that you have offered a truce, but this is too bitter and twisted. It serves no purpose and to drag family into a forum argument is not on. When posters use their real name and it gets used in such a manner as you have it really is not on. You know only what he has published on his web page and yet you infer that is a failure. I don't know Peter and I don't agree with his views or the way that he expresses some of his view but your last post was ****ish.

You know me do you? You think your comments will upset me but you don't have a clue. My wife has not worked with me in over 5 years. I am not doing bookkeeping but year end accounts and tax.

I think the reason why you don't want to tell me your job is because you are ashamed.

Anybody who can include in his argument a reference to accounts that he's never seen yet still acts like he has read them proves that he can't be trusted.

You have been rumbled and it upsets you that you have been uncovered for what you are - a pure bullshitter.
