Dunno, but how would someone know we're were definitely going to give him that number out of all the possible numbers there are, with out having inside info?- it'd have to be one hell of a guess.

And considering Parker already had it, didn't he?

    Nice article.

Yeah, if Monaco are a separate nation state, then the club is akin to a
business operating in an overseas market and receiving "state aid" in
that market by virtue of its tax regime. And the EU don't like state aid
    occurring in any market sector.

"other than Real, because that might hinder Real"

The EU allegedly are looking into their dealings (that land sell/buy etc) .
This is the crux of the UEFA FFP. If you do the equivalent of stripping Ben
Johnson of his Olympic gold, then you have credibility.

In France, more a case of P(ot)SG calling the Monaco kettle black.

I disagree. Parker was rumoured to be on the way out, Defoe's 18 and Walker was 28.
If he'd have predicted something odd and it'd come true, then I'd think he might be onto something. The players favoured number? Not so much.

Exactly. According to some Parker's been just about to be sold for weeks so it's not rocket science to predict that Paulinho would get the same number he had at Corinthians. If they'd said Parker's number would be changed to 6 then I'd be impressed but unwanted players have been stripped of their single digit number before, like Jenas when we got Parker.

Also how does getting a bit of information about a squad number mean they get accurate and detailed information about transfers? Sorry, I do like ITK but I think the best way is to not take it too seriously :)

A South American football expert on 5 live has said of Paulhino,Spurs should be very happy about signing him,as he is the complete package in midfield!.Shearer thinks we wouldn't have bought if Bale was staying, and thinks we will finish 4th

Shearer would think us signing a centre back means Bale is leaving...

I get what you guys are saying, but it's such a random thing to think of and come out with to make a massive statement about. Who thinks of that to try and prove they are "ITK"? Much in the same way you guys think it is obvious for someone to come out with that, I think it's a really random thing to think of making up. It's much more plausible that someone just told him. - even if the reasons they told him are because of what you guys are saying about of being his favourite number.
Itk's tend to bull**** about players, not a squad number. - that's proper outside of the box thinking, which could easily have backfired if he wasn't 100% certain. There was no guarantee Parker was leaving, so to confirm that he's having the number is risky.

Apparently we are in talks for William, Lamela and Osvaldo.

Doubt its all three, think the media are guessing.

Has anyone else noticed that Bale money suddenly means something completely different?

Just been having a browse for some rumours. - one thing I've noticed on twitter, is how many Liverpool fans are bitter about us "stealing their targets".

Can someone please explain this to me?

Eriksen - we wanted him a year and a half ago when we wanted vertonghen.
Willian - AVB is pretty much mates with him and texts him regularly.

If other clubs are sniffing around players that we've been genuinely interest in, course we're going to reignite our interest, incase we lose out. But the Liverpool fans seem to make these statements without really thinking things through.

I must stress that I am not generalizing Liverpool fans here, but there are lots that seem to have been making these statements recently.

Like i say, I'd love to be corrected if I'm wrong, but I don't understand the comments I'm reading!

I'm pretty sure it's bollocks. But, even if it has some credence, I think Levy's answer will be stick it where the sun don't shine!..

I think it's quite an easy guess to come up with and, to be honest, a deal which is something along those lines is what I would bet on happening, if I had to bet.

More and more I think Bale's gone and I think we'll get somewhere in the region of 70-80m plus Coentroa. To me the idea that he's going just explains a lot more than the idea that he's not going to be sold. Hope I'm wrong.

Am I the only one that's a bit worried about the dressing room and team spirit with so many long-term players and big characters leaving and a mixture of players not familiar with each other joining in such a short space of time? And I actually think it's quite possible we'll get a couple more players in this window.

Was the Spurs team of the last two/three years in need of such a total overhaul? I'm not sure it was.

    The team of

    Friedal

    Walker Kaboul King Ekotto

    Lennon Parker Modric Bale

    VDV

    Adebayor

Could have been something special but sadly that team was never destined to last and not much anyone can do when Modric wants out, VDV isn't liked by the new manager, King retires, players fall out of favor etc and Adebayor was only good for one year.

The only way we will ever truly achieve success is if we build a new team and keep the basis of that team, the players which are a success aren't sold and each year we strengthen the squad, its a progression of building a team to win trophies, otherwise if we carry what we have been doing for the past 10 years, there will be a year when a fab team appears (like the redknapp one) but it won't last, hopefully now the overhauling will stop and we can actually build a team.
